Sweet Season PV is a great PV and fits with the song as well. I couldn't imagine anything less cute and lovely as it.
The ending it's quite shocking, at first I was 'wat o___o it was a dream!'. Suddenly the PV turns sad.

I don't mind if her sons are white, or they're trying to sing along to Ayu's song and failed at that or if Ayu don't appear so often in the PV. I really liked

I really love this PV. At first I thought it was boring and meaningless. Just happy-go-lucky, no story, no meaning and then the broken girl at the end came along and woke from, probably the best dream, she's had in years.


IMO, Dream-Ayu was never supposed to fit in the PV. She acts awkward in almost every scene of the dream-sequence. She's too happy, too exited, she looks at the kids all the time, not just 'her' kids, but all the kids and gets overly exited. So, IMO, she's not a mom. She seems like she never had kids to begin with. She's happy they're there, but she doesn't know how to express it. If she had kids and her life was like this everyday, she wouldn't act so out of it.

The second verse has her sitting alone at the pool, her feet in the water, the chair she was sitting on is still standing behind her, the balloons are still there, but the kids and her husband are missing. I think, that's the first time, she begins to realize she's dreaming. And since she won't want to wake up, she repeats every scene she saw, to stay in that dream-like phase. She even adds the kids singing to her song, to make that dream even more enjoyable for her (she's smiling when they're singing.)

Then after the second chorus she starts to wake up. The pictures get blurry, the colors change. Flashbacks to all the things she's seen in that dream are coming to her mind.

Dream-Ayu is standing at the pool, with her arms outstretched, like she wants to embrace every single thing she has seen in this dream. The Images get a blue tint, the chair she was sitting on is empty, the picture quality gets worse. And as the little girl blows up the bubbles she just made, she makes the final decision to wake up and let's herself fall into the pool, because she knows she's not supposed to be there. (Some of her interacting with the kids is played backwards, like she was erasing herself out of that dream.)

The colors chage back to normal, the sun isn't shining, and Broken-Ayu wakes up, tearstains on her face, make-up messed up. And she realizes what she dreamed of, why she has tears in her eyes:

Because, she can't be a part of that dream-life. Her carrier (outfit) and her lifestyle (alcohol, knocked over things - either she was angry, held a little party all by herself or she held a party with guests) won't let that happen. That dream-life is everything she wants and can't get, because then she had to choose.


Well, that's my way to interpret a PV I wasn't so fond of when I first saw the short version and instantly fell in love with the first time I watched the full version. It even made me love the song Sweet Season like.. WOAH xD

Something else I thought of: I think Ayu's clothes at the end are meant to be symbolic rather than fashionable. It reminds me of "Don't Look Back", when she had this incredibly heavy make up on that made her unrecognizable and made her face look like that of a porcelain doll. Only, in "Sweet Season", it makes her look just the opposite. The subtle smears make her look haggard and weary.
In both PVs, it's like she (or the character she is playing) cakes on the makeup and dresses super stylishly in order to hide how miserable she is.

she was driving in the car was her kids and they had like... birthday party or simple
barbecue, family event, and person that was with the grill looks like to be her husband,

I love Nukarus interpretation

Anyway ayu in this video totally reminded me of Holden of Catcher in the Rye with the seeming fascination with children
Like in the book. Ayu is at peace watching them. Enjoying their innocence. Their happiness. A nice life
But also like in the book her childhoos wasn't like this. It wasn't totally happy. And when they are taken out of this happy realm of seeing kids enjoying themselves they are taken back to their real lives. Difficult lives. Without the brightness of children
And both seem to not have the ability to completely grow up.

But I don't think that's the theme at all especially with the song. I think what Nukaru said is nice and I agree with it. I was just making an allusion to the book.

I do sometimes wish these weren't left t o endless interpretation lol.

Pointless, boring, BUT I LOVE THE ENDING!!!

I think it's because I hate this whole 'conservative-typical-family-thing'. And I don't like children (please don't stone me >.<). During watching the PV I had to calm down several times because I got aggressions. XD If I had a dream like this I would look exactly like Ayu during the end, but without to much party and it would be a reason for me to drink the whole house bar.

When I saw her at the end before she entered the pool, I was thinking, "Are they going to make her go into the pool and mess up the hair and outfit? Nah, I don't think...SHE WENT INTO THE POOL!"
And then saw sad/distressed Ayu. It made my eyes tear up a bit. The PV could have been better, but I think the ending (and Virgin Road!) made up for it.

I don't think it was exactly the end that saved it, but the contrast it built. Had this PV only been messed up ayu around a pool it would be aboring PV as well.

To me the concept of the PV is simple: you can have the pretty house, with the pretty pool (material) but if you don't have love around you, than your life is a mess.

I think she's going into a new stage of her life with this PV (along with Virgin Road). They have alot of meaning but it's presented in a more (I guess I could say) "adult" way as opposed to glitz and glam Ayu (compared to her more recent PV's like SLT and Microphone)

I like the meaning of the PV, it's not a bad song or PV, I'm just having a hard time putting this with Ayu.
It makes me sad that she feels this way though

About the PV..oh well, it's adorable to me. Ayu's so gorgeous, looks like a 70s mom and she's cute, mommish and sexy at the same time. really, this PV is 10+ and deserved a better song.

but, i was wondering......: Virgin Road (marriage) , Sweet Season (family with kids)....mmmh something is changing in ayu eh eh
