S/S covers. I'd go all out to say they're garbage, cos they are.

really not impressed with MOON/blossom, crossroad and L covers.

also her 2008-2010 "SPREE" with Kazuyoshi... ugh worst years to be an Ayu fan. bar a few good covers/shoots, most were thrash too.

I was also a bit disappointed with the 48th-49th-50th singles thing. It wasn't as impressive as I thought it was gonna be. Kuu went all-out with 4 TIMES, but for Ayu all we got was L. There was nothing special about it...

I'm the kind of person that would become so addicted to 1-2 songs that I'll tolerate the entire album for it~ I really dislike FIVE, but I'm so obsessed with FIVE, so I brought the album...(this applies to Love songs too haha)

But I don't hate the albums, I'm just disappointed with the amount of songs I like

I'm a pessimist and an optimist at the same time I think that Ayu is just going downhill, but I keep on waiting for those amazing songs that will revive my love! BRILLANTE has fully revived me, but I'm sure I'll get disappointed again soon with new releases, so I'll keep on waiting for the 2nd BRILLANTE in my life

People who claims Ayu as a 100% perfection and like 100% stuff may have lack of interets and taste or kinda obssesion... But they MAY, I'm not saying that every fan of that kind is like that. Luckily, there are just a few of them.

(Miss)understood Covers - One of the worst covers i have ever seen.
Curtain Call - It's grown on me after some time, but it's still boring as hell.
48/49/50 singles - i agree with Pommy, the songs are so mediocre and regular (besides Moon), i mean there all very nice.. but it was a huge mark in her carrer, you would expect something a bit more experimental or epic.
No more CREA A shame, i would love another Free & Easy.

Sunrise/Sunset - The songs and videos were actually worse than the covers to me, the covers were just oversaturated and had a weird expression but still followed all the usual guidelines, the videos were just plain bad and the songs were damn disappointing because of how she reused melody and parts of the lyrics and Sunset is incrediby boring while Sunrise has really annoying parts

evolution/UNITE! - They are both good but sound like the same song, especially in the way they are placed on the album. I like them live because the studio versions had horrid mixes.

progress video - only when I first watched it, I started loving it the second time while hating it the first, it was just unexpected from Ayu but still a good and powerful video proving that she doesn't have to be generic even for lead songs.

lipsynching - so glad she stopped doing that

I feel like I'm programmed to tolerate mediocre Asian music. I just can't bash it the way I criticize Western music.

However, I am quite disappointed with FIVE.

Meh. Five has been the first major disappointment for me...i don't like any of the songs except progress and the pvs were nothing special.

CREA disappearing depressed me.

"Thank U" I have to instantly skip that song as soon as it comes on.

That's all i can think of right now...the ones that stand out the most anyway.

To me its on and off and I can't really say when exactly but ya I think she's like going downhill. I was so crazy about her back then but now...

- The fact that once upon a time she decided to try composing because none of the demos she had sounded good, and now shes ok with releasing 10 versions of No way to say.

- The fact that once upon a time she was a fashion innovator not an imitator, one that was confident about her look and style, and now we get pictures and covers photoshopped beyond recognition. Shes a beautiful girl. Where did all of that confidence go?

- The very lackluster 48 49 50 single releases. How could she not come up with a cohesive concept for them?

- The fact that she contentiously works with the same people, whether the results are good or bad.

- The Love songs Pvs featuring Mannie. The whole concept was lame and it almost ruined Virgin Road for me.

- FIVE minus the cover and photobook

- Ayumix 7 minus AO. But that's probably because the standard set with Ayumix 6 cannot be surpassed.
