I thought it was very soft and pretty. The song that really hooked me in and made me fall in love with Ayu was Jewel and even to this day the song gives me goosebumps.

My first time hearing Ayu's voice was in Fairyland and I didn't really like it. After listening to a few more songs like Dearest, Evolution, and Startin, I began to like her voice but it wouldn't be for a few more years(til 2010) that I started to truly appreciate her voice and music.

I had read about her before I decided to buy one of her albums and I was a bit apprehensive about her voice. But I was after some ballads and after seeing the A Ballads cover I wanted to buy it.
So luckily my first song was Rainbow which I think she sounds really nice on. If I'd first heard some of the ASFXX stuff it may have taken me longer to get into her music as she was quite high pitched back then. mi|kshake~

very high-pitched and loud. my parents friend used to compare her to a squirrel. smh
