These best-of albums will contain not only her 21 singles, but also popular tracks from her previous albums, as well as the fans’ favorite songs from live concerts. There will be total of 36 tracks in the best-of albums.

YUI commented regarding the release of her first best-of albums, “I am full of gratitude as I noticed while selecting the tracks for the albums that I have been being supported by the fans for a very long time. Both ‘green edition’ and ‘orange edition’ are crammed full of my precious songs, so I would be happy to see everybody enjoy them.”

YUI’s first best-of albums will be released simultaneously on December 5th. There will be a total of 36 tracks including 21 singles as well as popular tracks from her previous albums.

Both albums will be released in limited and regular editions. The limited editions will come with photo books containing unreleased photos of YUI. ”GREEN GARDEN POP” will come with ‘GREEN BOOK’ featuring photos of YUI from before her debut to 20 years old. Meanwhile, “ORANGE GARDEN POP” will come with ‘ORANGE BOOK’ with her most recent pictures.

Furthermore, those who purchase both types will receive a ‘WHITE BOOK’ (participating stores only).

That might probably as to why she released both GREEN GARDEN POP & ORANGE GARDEN POP somewhat early as I rather she wait 2 more years to release them in celebrating her 10th anniversary

On November 19th, it was revealed that singer-songwriter YUI will be putting a halt to her music activities at the end of the year.

Through a handwritten announcement on her official website, YUI explained that she has found something new that she wants to try, and has decided to take a break in order to prepare for it. “I know this might cause people to worry, but I am writing this hoping that this letter will convey that I decided on it with a positive mind.”

Regarding her future, she commented, “My style might change, but I want to do lots of fun things through music, so if you’d like, please stay with me.” While on hiatus, YUI plans to report fans of her present situation through her official website.

YUI is scheduled to perform on TV Asahi’s music program, ‘MUSIC STATION‘, on November 23rd. Fans can expect a live announcement from the singer herself.

I am very surprised about this hiatus.

But unlike what's going on with Ayu, I think I agree a bit here.

It really makes me wonder why Ayu's well too overworked...

I really can't wait what's up with YUI once she comes back. Hopefully she will be as successful as her young days. But I really have to wonder how different it will be, when you already know of how recently Ayaka's music has changed since before her hiatus in 2009 and her return in 2012... (Ayaka and YUI attended the same music school in Fukuoka, as a reminder)

YUI Reveals Reason for Activity Stop

On November 19th, singer-songwriter YUI announced that by the end of the year she would be pausing activities. Just recently on a TV Asahi she has revealed that she would like to return in a new kind of form.

Apart from the brief explanation of TV, YUI will be giving a special interview online under the title "MESSAGE from YUI", which will be aired on November 28th on NicoNico Nama Housou, YouTube and Ustream at the same time.

In her own way, YUI will be explaining what the pause means to her and in her own words reason her decision further. In preparation for the program a short message has already been released on her official YouTube channel.
