I can understand the suspicion, but we know the hear & hand issues were real, so the late announcements are just mere coincidences IMO. They may be delaying the announcements but not that much.
It's not like she was trying to be keep the n°1 record.

I think it is not that wrong of them to announce it, before it is in the tabloid. I wonder how this will affect the PV's and concerts, though. Too much involvment of Maro in romantic situations with Ayu - there might be fans who won't like that.

She had a TON of couple-y things with Shu-ya for a good few years and Maro's only recently (slowly) taken that role away from Shu-ya. Though all of her male dancers seem to be getting one on one time with Ayu recently, it's just that Maro tends to be the one who is 'obviously' in love with Ayu. (the scenes in the rain in AT09, the performances in HOTEL Love songs with the beds, AT10's BALLAD performance... etc)

I'm kind of curious if the feelings started up earlier this year after the divorce from Mannie and all the interaction that Ayu/Maro had.

Some of the commenters seem to be regulars that comment on Yahoo articles often. I could see this spreading on 2ch as we speak too. (there are droves of Ayu 'antis' there who are not interested in Ayu at all... yet they can talk about how her ~career is over~ for the last 5-6 years for thousands of posts)

I think rather than a publicity stunt, this is the simple fact that tabloids are more interested in an artist when they are releasing new music, so if "scandalous" news was gonna break, it was gonna break now. Ayumi is not the main objective of tabloids anymore, so now they only care when she's having a major release.

I think it is hard for Ayu to meet regular people to date. So when she is put into romantic situations with a partner and likes that person it is obvious that something will happen. Most people meet their partner at work. This relationship is only logical, if you think about it.

I still like to know what happened to the former Mrs. Maro.

Because it's a compilation album that Avex doesn't really care about selling tonnes of copies of?

I dunno, I hope it goes well for them, but Ayu being as OTT and show-offy as she can be, bringing her partner into PVs, making him the centre of attention with fans, pushing personal projects with fans etc.....I can't help but hope that Ayu fans are nicer to Maro than they were to Mannie if it all goes south

That said, I do want and hope this to be genuine. Ayu deserves happiness in her life however she gets it, so I hope this isn't a ploy and that we can rest easy for a bit knowing she has real happiness with someone.
