Release ? You mean 20th Orchestra Tour HYDE ROENTGEN 2021's future in hopefully getting a video release

HYDE LIVE 2020-2021 ANTI WIRE officially concluded today & it will be getting a video release on 26th May

Video footages were recorded on 31st Jan at Tokyo Kokusai Forum

https://twitter.com/HydeOfficial_/st...17748242800642

hyde being hyde , he likes to make fangirls extremely poor

Frankly I'm quite disappointed L'arc doesn't seem to plan to do anything special this year to mark their 30th anniversary other than what WOWOW has been/will be doing & that's not enough

^Yes, same I'm disappointed that there's nothing from L'Arc either (even if I didn't expect anything)

But very happy with the news of the Roentgen 20th anniversary tour!

Wow, I actually wasn't expecting them to do anything anyway between their inactivity, covid and Hyde's anniversary.

L'Arc-en-Ciel to celebrate their 30th anniversary with a 2-day live at Makuhari Messe

Quote:
To commemorate 30 years since their formation, L'Arc-en-Ciel will hold a two-day live titled '30th L'Anniversary Starting Live -L'APPY BIRTHDAY!-' at Makuhari Messe on May 29 and 30.

L'Arc-en-Ciel was scheduled to hold their arena tour 'ARENA TOUR MMXX' last January to March, but it was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time they held a concert was last February at Saitama Super Arena.

Members of the band's official fan club 'LE-CIEL' will be able to pre-reserve tickets beginning April 24. Afterward, pre-reservations will be available for members of their mobile site 'L'mobile' and electronic ticket service 'ticket board.' The concerts will be held with COVID-19 safety measures in place. In addition, the concert will be distributed later for those who were unable to attend.

L'Arc-en-Ciel formed in Osaka in February of 1991, and held their first live on May 30 that same year. After making their major debut in 1994, they have not only released music and held concerts in Japan, but overseas as well leading to their worldwide popularity.

I love how Hyde has taken to posting Roentgen era photos every Friday, I look forward to them every week!

I'd love it if he would release a special edition of Roentgen for the anniversary. Maybe a live recording of the tour on CD and a photobook? I'd love to hear more about the recording of the album too. It's one of my all time favourites!

If HYDE doesn't know how to do anything else he knows how to work. Honestly has there ever been a 6month to 1 year hiatus in the span of 3 decades? Yet, he can't manage to get in the studio with L'arc....

Frustrating

Other JRock groups who have been around longer or slightly shorter than L'arc such as B'z , GLAY & LUNA SEA , their own members also have solo stuff going on within them

But they still took time to do special things to celebrate their landmark milestone , most importantly putting out new music !

The fact that next year will be a decade since L'arc put out a new studio album , it's frankly sad and BUTTERFLY wasn't even that great :s

Anyway I suppose with what WOWOW has been doing , it's better than letting Larc's 30th anniversary fade into oblivion

I totally agree! The lack of new music also makes the setlists, when do tour, predictable too! Tbh I am surprised they're doing anything at all!

It's not like the record label can release a best off to mark the anniversary as that's already been milked lol.

TWENITY was released a decade ago so if Sony Japan wants to capitalise L'arc's 30th anniversary , they could put out THIRTY ?

For TWENITY , it covered their music which was released during 1991 til 2010

Material wise from 2011 onwards , it only consists of BUTTERFLY , 6 singles & a live album and I don't know if Sony wants to compile so little material

Then again TWENITY had a box set release so why not ?

Thanks for all the updates as always Karen!

Set list is as expected, I would have liked to have seen some older songs on there. I feel like there's a lot of "overperformed" songs looking back at the last few concerts/tours they have done although I suppose that's to be expected when it's your 30th anniversary and you haven't released an album since 2012.

I need to give Mirai a proper listen so far I'm in two minds. It kinda sounds like many other songs they've done and is a bit predictable. On the other hand the violins are a nice touch (I only listened to it when I was in the shower lol so I'm probably not making the best judgement).

When they eventually release a new album, it's going to feel more like a playlist like Butterfly (so I'd prob listen to it on Spotify rather than buying it physically). I would like them to get together and record a bunch of new tracks so it flows better but I'm getting ahead of myself lol!

One of the things I did like about L'Arc was how much material they had - thinking back to the 15th anniversary here where there were so many great tracks to perform. But there's only another 2 albums to show for the following 15 years.

Despite my moaning (lol), I do hope we see more from L'Arc although I suspect they will go back into hibernation after this. At the same time I am really looking forward to Hyde's Roentgen 20 anniversary tour (and love the new pic released for this era!)

I really liked "Mirai". It's not innovative, but the arrangement is really nice.

Heard a clip of Nostalgic and, wow, loving what I am hearing so far! I wasn't sure if it would manage to capture the feel of Roentgen 20 years on but it so does! In fact, I'm wondering if it is a song originally recorded for the album?

Looking forward to when it hits midnight so I can listen to the song on Spotify!
