1. RAINBOW - 10/10
--Has alot of my favourite songs from her. There's a ton of variety in it and the fact Ayumi has challenged herself and nailed it perfectly just makes the album even better for me!

2. I am... - 9.5/10
--Apart from the first few songs (Really, I just mean UNITE!, Connected and Naturally) this album is amazing. The ballads are beautiful and the atmosphere and tone of the album is great. Could have been a true masterpiece if it weren't for the three songs I mentioned :/

3. Duty - 9/10
--I love this album. It just feels so much darker and different from her others. She's managed to mix a lot of styles, yet keep the same feel + flow throughout the album. Plus there are some truly great gems on this one. Because there's one or two songs that just annoy the hell out of me it fails to make it any higher on my list.

4. My Story - 8.5
--Although this is where her whole 'rock' persona truly began, this album feels like there's been alot more effort put into it (Dunno about you, but her frequent album releases after My Story just seem a bit suspicious to me...). Anyway, the ballads, in a way, are the true stars of this album for me. They're so beautiful. The first few songs are great and catchy but after 'Inspire', the album fails to keep my interest.

5. GUILTY - 8/10
--Although I hope to god this is her last 'rock' album, this one is pretty damn good. The majority of the songs are great. Although, too many interludes just flashes the words 'filler' and 'couldn't think of what else to put on it' in my face. I'd rather hear more songs, not one minute instrumentals. Either way, this album just tells us that her latest stuff is really for established fans.

6. Secret - 8/10
--Yes I know, it has the same score as GUILTY because to me they're kinda equally as good, but Secret is a hard album to judge. Sometimes I love it, and sometimes I just kinda like it. Solid songs, but forgettable also. And Startin' is a terrible song. The PV was also a joke.

7. (miss)understood - 7/10
--The singles leading up to this album had me hyped up. I loved them! Alot of other fans seemed to hate them. The album is so hit and miss at times. There's no really bad songs, they all rank from either good to really good. The album is just kinda messy.

8. A Song for XX - 6/10
--I got into Ayu kinda late. I heard 'Fly High' by complete accident and fell in love with it, looked her up and well, when I want to get into an artist I ALWAYS start from the earliest work I can get my hands on. I can honestly say if I didn't give Duty and I am... a chance and just judged her completley on 'A Song for XX'; I probably wouldn't be a fan right now. Sure, the songs are good but there's alot of songs I would define as 'average'. Don't kill me for this but her voice just annoys me on this album too.

9. LOVEppears4/10
--Some truly amazing singles surrounded by mediocrity. 'Nuff said.

I'm not counting Memorial address in because it's a mini album. If I did, it would be just above (miss)understood

My favorite album so far from Ayu are the ff:

~MY TOP 5~

#1 - (miss)understood
MY REASON: Lots of variety and style for each track. Bold&Delicious as an opening song for the album is a BLAST!!!
The GEO-composed tracks are really good like Ladies Night.
The album art is really fun and pretty because it shoot waaay from New York.
All of the tracks are really good to listen without skipping one!
So far, this is my first Ayu album to own one!



#2 - Secret & GUILTY
MY REASON: The two albums are good in terms of themes and album art.
I like the Gothic-style of Secret and the more-darker-theme musicallity of GUILTY. Both of the album got my musical taste, mysterious and stylish.



#3 - RAINBOW
MY REASON: RAINBOW would be my first album to like and even love Ayu's music.
All of the music flows really smooth until to the very last track and the genre used are really good especially from the last 3 full tracks.



#4 - MY STORY
MY REASON: The album consists of more rock and pop genre.
The album makes me to love the rock genre even more.
Some musicallity on the tracks makes me bored a-little in the middle of the album.
I felt that they're all the same but Im avoiding to think of that.



#5 - A Song for XX
MY REASON: Since this is Ayu's debut album, it really nice to see where she began.
All of the tracks are very 90's-ish and the vocal styles on some tracks are quite deafening.
Well, this album really deserves to have Ayu's first break in JPop

#6 - I Am...
> This album is were Ayu started to composed her first musical stylings which I like the most!
But this album bores me a-lot, I wonder why... and the art is quite repetitive.

#7 - Duty
> Duty really bores me TO DEATH than I Am...!
There are few tracks are worth to listen for.

> The album is a "meh" to me.
The cover makes me to hate this but not the music itself.
All of the tracks are very techno-ish with a mixture of pop-trance and rock.

It's strange. There seems to be a pattern. The older members tend to like her older albums more and the newer members like her newer music more. Okay, so I guess it's not that strange...

For me:

1) Rainbow - my first album and the music is really a representation of me and my character/personality. It's just so...me.
2) (Miss)Understood - I love all the songs and it as an album.
3) Secret - Almost every single song on here is my favorite song. And it flows ridiculously well as an album.

4) Duty - It's nostalgic and I really like every song on it excluding Vogue


5) Memorial Address - I used to love it a lot more, but nowadays I'm finding myself bored with it. I don't know why. I go through spurts of different favorite albums.



6-7) GUILTY & MY STORY - I just never really got into GUILTY as a whole album. I love the tracks by themselves, but I just feel the arrangement of the whole album is rather weak. Plus, I feel like there are barely any album tracks and they're not very good. :/ It's just a compilation of single tracks arranged messily. :/ And MY STORY used to be my favorite album, but I've found more and more songs less memorable as time goes on.

8) LOVEppears - certain songs on here I absolutely adore, others I just don't think are that noteworthy.



9) I am... - Sorry, almost every song on here sounds exactly the same to me. :/

10) A song for XX - It's okay. I don't really have anything against it, but I don't really listen to it that often, mostly because I find it boring. :/
