Nakagawa Shoko talks about her single “Tsuyogari” for Kawaii Girl Japan!

Kawaii Girl Japan has updated their official YouTube channel with a new video, starring otaku idol Nakagawa Shoko!

During her video interview, Shocotan talks about her upcoming single “Tsuyogari“, which is slated for a release on June 8th. She also discusses her latest concert, what she would like to accomplish, what countries she’d like to visit for her next live, and more.

Voice cast for new Pokémon movie includes Ishihara Satomi, Takahashi Hideki, and more!



The 14th Pokémon movie will open in Japan this summer, and today, the prominent guest line-up of voice actors for the special characters came together with a public recording at the Avaco Creative Studio in Tokyo.

The special voice cast is made up of Takahashi Hideki, Tanihara Shosuke, Ishihara Satomi, Yamadera Koichi, Nakagawa Shoko, and Daichi Mao.

The new movie will be released in two versions, “Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! The Movie: Victini and the Black Hero: Zekrom” and “[...] White Hero: Reshiram“. It is the first time in history that an anime is going to open in theaters in two different versions at the same day.

Both movies will be about Dread, the descendant of the People of the Earth, that once ruled over the land, who seeks revenge for the fall of his people with the help of the Sword of the Earth in the city of Eindoke, and our three heroes – Satoshi, Iris and Dent – who must stop him at all costs. However, similar to the video games,each movie will feature different Pokémon, many different scenes and lines, and different techniques used by the Pokémon.

Ishihara lent her voice to Carlita, the younger sister of Dread. She commented, “It’s a huge honor for me to participate in a Pokémon movie, since it’s such an immensely popular series worldwide. I received some strict coaching this time and learned a lot of new things.”

The mother of Carlita was voiced by Daichi, who never dubbed an anime before. She clearly enjoyed the new challenge, “I’m already having a certain affinity to my character who belongs to the People of the Earth (Daichi no Tami), since she has the same surname as me. It was a lot of fun playing the role of a mother with guts.”

For Takahashi, who voiced Zekrom, it was also the first time to work on an anime. He stated, “I was happy that I was able to challenge myself as a voice actor for the first time in my 40-year-long career as an actor. All the kids of my foreign friends are engrossed into Pokémon, so now I have something I can boast about.” Life-sized Pokémon characters were present during the special dubbing session for the press, and the veteran surprised everyone with his innocent remark, “Aren’t they cute! I want to take them home with me!”

The double-dose of Pokémon action will open in Japan on July 16th.

Hoshizuku romance is a bit weird but really good.
& OMG what a surprise about Dangerous wild, you are. I never expected a rock song. I love it so much! Moreover Shoko's voice is nice for rock song now. I remember when I listened to Tsuzuku Sekai, I thought that kind of song don't suit with her voice. Seriously she improve her singing a lot. I already noticed that when I watched the prism tour.

Shocotan make a little collaboration.

ZONE’s MAIKO to collaborate with Nakagawa Shoko for upcoming tribute album

Previously, we reported that Nakagawa Shoko would be participating in ZONE’s tribute album, “ZONE Tribute ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~“, with the song, “Shiroi Hana“. It’s been revealed that ZONE member MAIKO will be joining Nakagawa for the song’s chorus.

To briefly summarize their ZONE’s career, MIYU, MAIKO, TOMOKA, and MIZUHO made their debut as ZONE in February 2001 with the single, “GOOD DAYS“. Their third single, “secret base~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~” was chosen as the theme song for the TBS drama, “Kids War 3~Zakennayo“, and became a long-seller, selling about 740,000 copies. ZONE disbanded during the peak of their career on April 1st, 2005 at Nippon Budokan.

The girls will be holding a comeback live at Akasaka BLITZ on August 14th and 15th without MIZUHO, who has left the entertainment business. They will also be performing at “Mezamashi Live 2011” on August 17th, and will release their book titled, “Saikai~ZONE CHRONICLES~“, on August 22nd.

Honestly I never thought she could be use insect (other than butterflies) for her hair. She really surprised me. However I think it's original & Shocotan always is original.

Nakagawa Shoko to continue her cover album series this fall

On October 12th, Nakagawa Shoko plans to simultaneously release two new additions to her popular cover album series, “Shocotan☆Cover“!

After releasing her third cover album “Shocotan☆Cover 3 ~Anisong wa Jinrui wo Tsunagu~” in early 2010, the otaku idol will be tackling both old and new anime songs with two separate releases.

The first album is titled “Shocotan☆Cover 4-1 ~Shoko☆Dol Version~“, for which she’ll cover beloved idol songs like CoCo’s “Hanbun Fushigi“, Matsuda Seiko’s “Aoi Photograph“, Okada Yukiko’s “Kuchibiru Network“. In total, she’ll be delivering seven songs.

The second version – titled “Shocotan☆Cover 4-2 ~Shoko☆Rock Version~” – will include covers of more recent songs, such as a full cover of “Don’t be ‘lazy’” from the popular anime “K-ON!!“, LINDBERG’s hit song “Ima Sugu Kiss Me“, and even a cover of Aikawa Nanase. Both versions will be released in ‘CD+DVD’ and ‘CD-Only’ versions.
