Okay here are some pros and cons in my opinion

Cons:
1) The lights were pretty for the first 10 seconds...but come on! Is she trying to give us all seizures?
2) Why did she just stand there like that the whole time? The song makes me want to get up and celebrate, almost like Fairyland. But she's just standing there. MOVE. YOU'RE BORN TO BE MOVING!
3) That dancing guy was kinda creepy.

Pros:
1) The water was a really good effect, it was very pretty and definitely fit the song.
2) Once the random people started appearing the PV became a lot more interesting and enjoyable. There, the message can be seen more clearly.
3) The lights were pretty...for the first 10 seconds.

Overall...I really didn't like this PV. It doesn't feel like anything new from Ayu. Even though the Startin' PV apparently "stole" from a lot of things, it was new for Ayu, and so I liked it a lot. This one was just boring. But the song is really enjoyable.

Another note...at least she didn't stand on the back of a truck flailing her arms...oh wait she already did that... ;-)

I take a step outside of the pathetic 'I LOVE EVERYTHING AYU' box and realize that she makes crap here and there. Lately it's been a whole lot of everywhere though.

Born To Be... is clearly not her best song. As for the video... it was BORING! Her videos have gotten really boring and watered down (no pun) lately. The lights/water effects looked cool for about 5 seconds and the rest was just BLAH! Avex or whomever needs to hire a director with some talent for her next PV.

Well it turns out she didn't dye her hair back to light brown. everyone was just confused with the bright yellow lights!

and i thought i would point this out, i think they took the crowd screaming sound from arena tour 2005. i think the part when they have that water show. haha.

Don't even the Ayu fans who are like '<#43243<33' acknowledge that she does indeed sometimes 'miss the target' with some of her works? It's fine to have an opinion and step out of the 'obsessive Ayu fan' box... but when you make sooo many comments O_O!

As an Ayu fan, I think this PV was fine. Basically, it's not 'amazing!' but it's not at the level of being.. not even a music video for the artist [the ones where the singer isn't even there..] I sort of envisioned it like Free&Easy.. but a lot brighter and less angsty. But to those of you who think Ayu needs to take a break.. I don't think she is anytime soon. I guess that it shouldn't really matter to her if she loses fans internationally[all around the world, not just asia~] with what she does when she's supposed to be focusing on Japan

i dont think this single will top the oricon charts this is just unforgivable.... the cover is nice but the content isnt

etheruraura is so right! O_O A lot of these songs thought were not really meant to fit Ayu, but rather fit the products that they were sort of 'commissioned' for. ~_~

I think that the last single that Ayu was like 'This is mine. It is not meant for _______' was fairyland. HEAVEN was for the movie, B&D was a test single, and Startin / Born to Be.. is a sort of marketing single.. combining two theme song-ish songs. :x

And most people liked what was on fairyland, right? Like alterna? :p

This single has a much better chance at selling than B&D did, that's for sure :x

I think it WILL for Ayu never fails to top the the chart
Now back to the topic. Born to Be... is definitely a great song but i do agree with most people that the light is being over used. It would be much better it the lights are controlled and dimmed in some parts, allowing us to see Ayu clearer.
