The documentary is not simply Ayu changing and stuff. They showed that during Documentary Film of CDL06-07 for like less than 3 minutes of the whole 90 minute documentary.

The documentary will be basically the process and video from along the way... probably mostly Asia-stuff as well as some bloopers and exclusive footage like the songs during the encore that were not done at Fukuoka.

And the background videos aka SPECIAL SCREENS will definitely be included at some point during the "documentary" scenes, I think... I mean, they did give us some shots of the making of / the HQ video of two of them during the TeamAyu AT2007 CM-preview thing..

thanks for the screencaps, links and informations! I love the new layout, only a little disappointed by the tracklist but i guess they will not let history ( AT02 ) repeat itself and the Asia Tour video will eventually turn out to be just as entertaining =)

Well, the documentary this time doesn't seem like a separate entity... although you could simply skip the songs in between to watch the documentary.

I don't think the documentary is as cohesive as the CDL06-07 one... we'll see though.

IMO i think by choosing ''documentary only'' it will make the documentry more boring..(like documentary in ABEST blk)

But by adding documentary in-between each performance it will turn out to be a ''win-win situation'' :

1.We will be able to know more about the preparations of performances.
2.Documentary will turn out to be more interesting and less boring!

I'm just a little scared it'll ruin the whole concert/live feeling if it's chopped up.. I was kinda annoyed with AT02 and Stadium tour.

I can guarantee it. The other "LIVE&DOCUMENTARY" DVDs that avex has are just fine when you watch the "LIVE ONLY" portion. There's no awkwardness like ST02 and AT02. I don't even think those things they used were "documentary" footage... it was just random backstage offshot that they spliced in for no reason :|

I think its a very dumb idea to insert the documentary in between the performance. If there i cant watch the performance in one shot, sadly to say this will be the worst DVD since ARENA TOUR 2002.At least AT 2002 had a little portion here and there. for ASIA TOUR 2007, it's like one whole chunk after every performance. what is this??????

I disc 1 is the performance and disc 2 is the documentary like Best of CDL. I don't know what on earth they are doing for arranging the contents to be as such. Now we dont have a special DVD for all the MCs and special screenies.

The content is so much less than AT 2005 and 2006. No wonder its so much cheaper.

weel this SUCKS!, WHY?? I´m scare, the documentary between songs will ruin the concert, I REALLY hope that there´s going to be a LIVE ONLY option... pleeeeaseeee, because if not, Arena Tour 07 will be the worst like alternarist said =(.

And what happened with the screens, and the "special" performances, memorial address, JEWEL, etc and if all these comes in the middle of a part of the documentary SUCKS too!... I´m REALLY dissapointted with this tracklist... i mean REALLY =S

Well I think the documentary between songs will be kinda cool and different! Especially if it's like, the camera follows her behind the scenes of the concert or something (I guess they couldn't really show her changing costumes though...) Oh well, it'll be neat to see what they do with this!

The content is actually a lot more. o_o; It's not like this is a new thing for artists, since there have been other LIVE&DOCUMENTARY DVDs released that disperse the documentary throughout the concert.

And some of you guys are overreacting and not READING at all. The documentary will not be required to watch the tour DVD. You could just choose the LIVE ONLY option and watch the song-footage. :|

All of the MCs and extra songs and etc will most likely be part of the documentary.

How do u noe that we can choose LIVE only option? is it certain?

As you said its only most likely part of the documentary. And just think, during the MC (performance) part, would they slot in 15 other MCs from other concerts into the documentary?

Yes, it is certain from what I know.. I own DVDs with the documentary split inbetween live performances released by avex like 3-4 years ago. I don't think it's fair that many of you are dismissing this simply because it's "new to you." This is NOTHING like the AT02 and ST02 fiasco. They'd changed after that and only released backstage/offshots in a separate menu or on a totally separate disc.

However, if it isn't going to have a LIVE ONLY option, I would probably guess that you could just skip the documentary. It's not like you don't have button that says "NEXT." And to press that button 11 times throughout the course of 3-5 hours is not much effort.

15 other MCs shouldn't really matter anyway, I mean, no one really cares about them anyway. So what if they're not there? People here seriously could care less about them unless they actually spoke and understood Japanese. You get more bang for your buck so to speak with this tour DVD, since the MCs aren't simply somewhat pointless chatter and we actually get a behind the scenes look at everything [hopefully] as well as fan reactions from Hong Kong/Taiwan/Shanghai.

I think the majority of the documentary will be about Asia, and not so much the tour itself [since we know how it all goes on]~ Though we will get makings/rehearsal footage judging from the screens we have and previews.

Whatever u said is jus ur own opinions and assumptions. Just look at above and see how many of the words "i think" and "probably" appeared. You duno anything. Other DVDs can have a LIVE ONLY option but this may not have.

I care about the 15 other MCs because i am in one of the MCs. Many of the other people who have been to ayu's concert care about the MCs. You have not been to any concert so who are u to say that WE dont care. stop speaking for the public. I celebrated ayu's 9th anniversary in HK. I definitely want it in! Taiwanese fans would like to see them sing for ayu. If you dont care thats you.

And since u think that pressing NEXT button for 11 times throughout the 3 - 5 hours is not much of an effort, den u do it and stop asking people to do it.

They definitely will have all of the overseas MC sessions [although many of them were similar to one another]~ I know she will cover Asia for the majority of the documentary. You'd have to be crazy if you thought that they wouldn't put that footage on the DVD after it was on the news a ton of times D=

But the Japanese ones are probably "scrapped" save for Fukuoka.

We got a gorgeous cover and live DVDs are usually promoted in the same way with a CM and maybe a poster. :| No one ever said it'd be "highly promoted" anyway.

And as for knowing things, I am sure that this will not be all like ST02 and AT02 with Ayu singing live and random footage is on the screen. Please do name a live DVD release that doesn't have a "LIVE ONLY" option that has a documentary as well and then you can say that I "don't know anything" :|

The only reason I'm telling you guys to press the next button if it does end up being like that is because you all keep complaining about how "dumb" this setup is when it actually is trying to make you watch the documentary [which people probably don't do at all D=]

And as for the total, the CM states that the live+documentary+encore is 210 minutes long or 3 and a half hours.

120 minutes for the live footage and 90 for the documentary.

That 90 minutes will probably be divided between the four songs they need to add [JEWEL, momentum, flower garden, Memorial address], the three special screens, and other stuff.

There'll probably be a lot less Ayu watching the dancers perform with Poroko [since that was a lot of A BEST 2's DoCDL06-07..]

Just to compare, here are the running times for AT02 through AT06:
AT02: 116 minutes
AT03-04: 120 minutes
AT05: 214/215 minutes
AT06: 218 minutes
AT07: 210+/- minutes

Of course, the addition of the MCs is what can be attributed to the 90+ mass added to the AT05 and AT06 running times. AT06 had more MCs and AT05 had more bloopers/weird stuff.

For the most part, they wasted a lot of space on the DVD02 with the encore+random stuff, so... perhaps they packed these DVDs to the brim? :O

I can reassure you that you don't have to watch the documentary when you get your DVD. There WILL BE AN OPTION for the concert only.

[the documentary in between the sets of songs is probably to make the documentary seem a bit more thematic.]
