I agree. The recent remixes to GAME and decision were just AWESOME. <3 I love them to pieces, those two are the top listened to songs on ayu-mi-x SILVER for me. =3

I may buy all 3, it's only 46 bucks on Yesasia, and that's not a LOT per se, since I have 100 to burn in christmas moneys...

I'll wait to hear Rule and for the covers though

4 different editions all the time when comes to double a side single releases

*points to BREAKERZ's 1st 3 singles which're all double a-sides*

Yeah I didn't realize how much it sucked until just now! I'm compiling my birthday list, there's NO way my parents are going to buy me two versions of the same thing (CD only) and I don't want the CD+DVD since it's most likely going to be on the album D:

yeah especially for the DVD part since more or less it will end up in her future 10th (overall 11th) album

that's why I try not to buy singles that have CD + DVD editions , it's different for Johnny's bands because they don't do that for their albums

Well...basically for this single the other two versions just come with a different acoustic version of either Days/GREEN. It was obviously worth buying two of MW and G/D because of the gorgeous deluxe cover but Jackets B & C have nothing going for them in R/S, not even a DVD, except for the different jacket art. I wonder if they will even come with first press items...just plain CD only won't cut it I think. They'll probably include a poster for all three versions. Right now on CDJ I only see first press for Jacket A. I hope that's the case; that way it'll really give it that much more value.

On a totally unrelated side-note: lucky 7's for me (777th post) lolol.

this is unprecedented! usually there are videos for all her multiple-a-sides, either that or no video for all (like A, H)

Well, seems avex has figured out that adding more "extras" will give the singles more selling power. One of the reasons why 2008 was much better than 2007 for Ayu, was because they added more extras and encouraged the fans to buy the single on the first week.

I actually like that. I never bothered to buy an Ayu single before because they were too "standard", while artists like Ai had special extras. Like her drawn photobooks and digipack.

that's what happens when physical CD sales keep on declining as each year goes by

record labels have to think of ways & means for people to keep buying them instead of downloading legally

Yes I agree there. Buying a physical CD nowadays has become unattractive. No one uses CD players anymore, most people listen digitally to music. Plus with the current economical situation most would be tempted to download online. (either legally or illegally)

I believe a single song online costs about 200 yen... compared to 1,000 yen it's 5 times as much. So now record labels really have to work extra hard to make singles more attractive. It was really about time that avex started including extra goodies and multiple versions.

yeah & that's how the way record labels like J-One/JStorm , Johnny's Entertainment & most recently ZAIN RECORDS been working to combat this problem all this while & people kept on whining on the fact that they're sucking people's $ (including mine on the Johnny's side

) due to so many x no. editions of singles & albums , mostly on the singles front

there's always a reason for something to happen
