Jin Akanishi to release a new album both in Japan and in the U.S.
It’s been announced that Jin Akanishi’s first album, ‘JAPONICANA‘, will be released simultaneously in Japan and in the States. Due to time zone differences, the album will be available starting March 6th in the States, and on March 7th in Japan. It will also begin distributing in other countries through the iTunes Store. Though there will only be one edition for the U.S release, the Japanese edition will come in two versions: a CD+DVD limited edition and a regular edition, which will include a CD and a photo booklet. Of course, fans in Japan will also be able to purchase the imported version (U.S release version) as well. Akanishi has also announced that he will be holding another North American tour starting on March 9th. He will be hitting up five cities in March, starting in Los Angeles and ending at San Francisco. The tour schedule is as follows: Friday, March 9th: Los Angeles, CA (Club Nokia) Saturday, March 10th: Vancouver, Canada (Centre For Performing Arts) Monday, March 12th: Honolulu, HI (Hawaii Theater) Thursday, March 15th: New York, NY (Best Buy Theater) Saturday, March 17th: San Francisco, CA (Warfield) As reported earlier, Akanishi’s second digital single, ‘Sun Burns Down‘, is also scheduled to be released on January 24th in the U.S. http://www.tokyohive.com/2012/01/jin...nd-in-the-u-s/ === LOL @ at the album title JAPONICANA which's such a rip off *cough Kumi Kuu's JAPONESQUE cough* Then again I wouldn't lie this's something I'm kinda looking forward to get released on March 7th but hmmm just 2 singles prior to the release of JAPONICANA ?

JAPONICANA?! of all the damn titles...
 it's actually quite common for just 1 or 2 singles to drop prior to an album release here in the States. record labels usually drop the most marketable songs off the album, usually upbeat songs or songs that will get the attention of the public. then, they release more singles after to help boost album sales. the US market is very dependent on album sales rather than singles unlike Japan. that's how it works here.  === KAT-TUN stuff from the j-storm website:  a new song "SMILE FOR YOU" will be used for a cellphone game site TV CM. it will be on "CHAIN" too. (from what i can read. i hope it's right, lmao.)

LOL yeah that's my 1st thought when I saw the title of his debut solo album , it's like huh really ? -_-
I still feel that at most Warner should ask Akanishi to drop 1 more single before releasing JAPONICANA because if this's so , then the album would need quite a lot of album tracks/material to fill up in order to go together side by side with Eternal & Seasons :O I suspect most of the album tracks will be lifted from his Yellow Gold tour ? either way we'll see about it === SMILE FOR YOU is a cute song title . Wonder what the chances of it sounding like another WHITE or Going ! :3

^ ...isn't it his US album? i don't think he plans to put Eternal & Seasons on his US debut album since they have Japanese in it.
it will be more similar to TEST DRIVE and Sun Burns Down.i hope SMILE FOR YOU is RUN FOR YOU's cuter younger sister. not like Going! (eww), but maybe more like FARAWAY. or something Perfume would put out, idk. cute, but a dance song. *crosses fingers*

for those who can't read the kanji/some sort of translation: FINALE is Junno's solo STEP BY STEP is Maru's solo あの日のように (A no Hi no You ni = As of that day...or something like that, lmao, damn i'm getting rusty) ずっと (Zutto = Always) is Kame's solo 儚い指先 (Hakanai Yubisaki = Fleeting Fingertips) ~again is Ueda's solo DANGEROUS CAT ~MAKE ME WET~ is obviously Koki's solo 歩道橋 (Hadoukyou = Pedestrian Bridge) & the PV song has changed from SMILE FOR YOU to LOCK ON. since it's the introduction song, i have high hopes the song will be epic, like TABOO or N.M.P. Nakamaru has performed "STEP BY STEP" live (YOUTUBE RIP), so the other solos are new.
