Around the release of GUILTY, pretty much in the end of 2007

I remember searching for things in Jpopsuki TV and started viewing "talkin' 2 myself" PV, then I thought, "Damn, a japanese woman that is so fierce, never saw that before". At that time I really thought that she had a rough voice and would never imagine that she had released songs like HONEY.
Then I saw "1 LOVE" PV and fall in love instantly.

From that moment and on I started to follow her career through a brazilian site and been a fan since then.

I remember seeing news about the 10th anniversary and being completed blow away when the DVD trailer of ASIA TOUR 2008 was released. hahaha
That's nice to remember.

I'd say it was 2009, which seems relatively late (though even that is no 5 years in the past, whaaat). The first time I heard Ayu's songs was a year or two before, but I really became a fan after NEXT LEVEL. I heard the album and got interested enough to try and find some more of the same good stuff. Sunrise/Sunset passed me by, but by the time You were.../BALLAD was released, I was following her actively. When Rock'n'Roll Circus came out, I was pretty deeply immersed in her previous works and definitely a fan.

It was late 2008 when I became a fan. I think Rule had been announced as the Dragonball movie song. At the time, I was a Dragonball fan and I naturally went to explore Ayu's music. Someone on the movie forum shared a YouTube video of is this LOVE? from Arena Tour 2006. I was hooked and have been following her ever since. I first followed the Divine Ayu site. I think it was around 2010 when I started lurking around AHS and it took another year before I officially joined.

Actually for me, the first time I liked Ayumi was one she was the actress phase. I could see her in a movie, and it was so cool. I thought she was very cute, and I wanted to grow up just like her. She also did the Idol on Stage phase, and it was very very surprising when she came out with A Song for XX. It was the same girl, and I was so surprised! Haha. At that time, every one had to chose either Ayu or Suzuki Ami, but I really didn't like Ami, so I was on Ayu's side all the time. Oh wow, that's so long ago.

Where did you see those movies/dramas?? I've wanted to see more of her acting aside from one movie I accidentally found!

It was 2004, and she was about to release "Moments".
Then I discovered the "ayu-nite" forum (R.I.P), ayu primenova, ayutv (R.I.P) and others. I was happy to know there was an international fanbase out there.
