How did Johnny-san is able to get Hotei Tomoyasu to work on Japonism (the song) , I don't know but I have high hopes it will sound great as I know who Hotei Tomoyasu is , given his background as he used to be part of BOØWY

Based on what Hotei Tomoyasu did before for other artistes , Japonism (the song) hopefully should be something Rock related

And finally a CD version of Furusato , it's long overdue to be given the CD treatment

Not surprised this is going to happen (seems like October album releases are becoming the norm for Arashi for the past few years).

Although I could criticize about Ai wo Sakebe NOT being on the album, having to be held out until potentially the autumn of 2016, which can be a bit too long to wait...

I'm not sure why they're leaving Ai wo Sakebe out from Japonism. I am also quite curious what exactly is the theme of Japonism is...Olympics-related in some way? I'm thinking this is the last Arashi album before the 2016 Olympics next summer.

Arashi to release new album 'Japonism' in October

Arashi will release their new album "Japonism" on October 21.

The album will feature the group's singles, such as "Sakura" and "Aozora no Shita, Kimi no Tonari", as well as the member's solo songs. It will be available for purchase in three different types: Limited Edition, Regular Edition, and Yoikoto Edition. The Limited Edition will come with a DVD containing the PV and making footage for a new number.

Meanwhile, the Regular Edition will include four bonus tracks. Finally, the Yoikoto Edition will come with a cover of Shounentai's "Nihon Yoitoko Maka Fushigi" and members' talk tracks.

Arashi's "Ai wo Sakebe" PV, new album "Japonism", Dome Tour, Arashi Blast in Miyagi

The full music video for Arashi’s wedding song Ai Wo Sakebe is out! Part of the MV was shot in an actual wedding reception held in Tokyo. The PV also features footage from dance rehearsals of Arashi, the groom and the groom’s men before Arashi’s surprise appearance at the reception. The single will be released on September 2.

In addition, the group announced the release of their 14th album, Japonism on October 21. In their 16th year, Arashi expressed their new interpretation of the wonderfulness of Japan in their unique way through their new album “Japonism.” The album features songs that are different from previous songs, and is an album that showcases Arashi’s ambitious challenging spirit and continuous evolution.

The music and lyrics for the lead song (title TBA) was done by Hotei Tomoyasu, who is based in London, with “Japan seen from the outside” as the theme. ARASHI will express the “wonderfulness of Japan” through song on top of a tense Hotei sound, where the battle of (ARASHI)x(Hotei)x(Japanese instruments) sounds takes place.

Arashi will also hold the 2nd instalment of Arashi BLAST that started in Hawaii last year with Arashi Blast in Miyagi, in response to the request of Miyagi’s governor, Murai Yoshihiro, to aid the reconstruction in the disaster area that was hugely affected during the Great East Japan Earthquake. The group will be having a 4 day concert in Hitomebore Stadium Miyagi (Miyagi Stadium), expected to mobilise 200,000 audience. The nearby Miyagi Sports Park will also be integrated with a special corner for local goods and gourmet in collaboration with the locals.

Earlier on, the group announced the schedules for their Dome Tour this year.

Yume ni Kakeru is really good & it should have been released alongside with Ai wo Sakebe while It's good to be bad & I say are really cool

On a separate note , MatsuJun also shares the same birthday as Golden Bomber's Utahiroba Jun . I remembered MatsuJun said on VS ARASHI when Golden Bomber came on the show in that he reads Utahiroba Jun's tweets on a regular basis since Johnnys cannot have their own social media accounts

Ah...the whole "Ai wo Sakebe" PV is such sweet, adorable & absolute perfection! I loved watching every second of it...from Arashi's dancing, all the way to that adorable wedding reception they crashed. And I've said it once & I'll keep saying it again...the boys just looked so extremely handsome in this PV (Matsujun, especially, but we already knew that...) and I just love "Ai wo Sakebe" as a song itself, so much, as well. Good job, boys! Can't wait to see this week's sales on Oricon.

And even though it's not the 30th in Japan, anymore (and here in NY...it's just 30 minutes after midnight though, so I'm not that late ) I'm still gonna give a big happy birthday to Matsujun! Who, at 32 years old, is looking better than ever & will most likely remain that way, for a very long time.

Arashi top Oricon's weekly single ranking for the 36th consecutive time

Arashi's 47th single "Ai wo Sakebe" (released September 2) has sold 463,000 copies in its first week, topping Oricon's weekly single ranking for September 14.

Since "PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE" (released February of 2004), this marks the group's 36th consecutive single, and also 43 total singles to top Oricon's single weekly ranking. With this, they are the number two artist with the "most consecutive singles to reach #1" and the "most total singles to reach #1" following B'z (48 consecutive / 48 total).

"Ai wo Sakebe" is a wedding song that's sung from the point of view of the bride's male friends. It was used in the CM for wedding information magazine 'Zexy'.

At this pace Arashi's going to break B'z record. No signs of slowing down...because what is B'z pace of releasing singles these days? Not like Arashi does as of now...

(Although, to be honest, with that album coming up, the next single is expected to come in winter 2016 (February or March?), based on my historical estimates.)
