I can understand As if... not making the tracklist of the original A BEST, but I REALLY do think POWDER SNOW should have been on there. It was a pretty big factor in her first album reaching number one.

I wish this version of A BEST was gonna correct the mistakes of the original version by including songs like POWDER SNOW, monochrome, and evolution that REALLY should have been included, and using the HAL's mix of Fly high instead of the album version.

Since it's avex you're probably getting a password to enter a website, choose your tee size and see a pic of it but you can't download or buy it, only stream it. And it'll be up half an year after the re-release is out.

This does give her a chance to rest her voice and focus on her tour without being locked away recording, and keeps avex happy with a release. Though we will probably get SEASONS or M if she does a tv live performance

Why not? It's more logic than giving different content on different media type. Some people still don't have BR players, beacause for ex. playing video content on laptops or consoles. When they'll have possibility to play BR discs that'll save them buying another version of the album to upgrade video quality. Such combos are good solution.

Her voice don't need a rest - she need a rest (= finishing her career). Avex don't want to invest money into recording new stuff because it sells poorly. They'll earn more re-releasing her old songs (which were hits and fans still love them). After classical-filler album I felt that BEST or some kind of COLLECTION will be released next. I can bet that after re-release of "A BEST" they'll release "A BEST 3".

Ayu actually carry's a lot of the value of the avex stock. If anything happens to her, the stocks always plummets. She's doing what she loves best so we cant say she should stop singing. I would say its going a bit far to say avex don't want to invest in her anymore just because she hasn't announced this years album. It may come December or even January next year. But her decline in sales is reflected over every J-pop artist. Bit she is still one of the best artists with DVD sales

Come on !! If avex is not interested to invest in Ayu anymore so it must be the same for nearly all there artists under the label ... Beside the LDH family/namie Amuro they don't have any big artists ! AAA have a decent success but that's it !

Avex doesn't really invest in any of thei "Avex" label artists. Even AAA have pretty basic videos that don't require a lot of funding.

The artists on sub labels tend to have very different budgeting. Avex used to sell based on name alone. It can't do that now. (No label can)

I don't think anyone expects Ayu to heavily market this release. Hopefully she does a magazine or two which feature interviews that focus on her reflection on A BEST fifteen years on, and incorporates a few tracks into MADE IN JAPAN. Maybe we will get a TV live too, but this really is a celebratory release, I cannot imagine huge expectation placed upon it by Avex and Ayu.

A BEST came out 2nd best selling album of 2015 on the recochoku chart. Which album could do the same after 14 years?
I would be surprised if she's not proud of this album. As what you have mentioned, she would hate the company or the person who had made the decision. It might even be a gimmick during that time to make the sales. But looking back at A BEST now, I'm sure she is proud of it.

She obviously hated that avex made her release it, but I think looking back she is proud that she put SO_MUCH_WORK into it. 40 magazine covers, 7 commercials (?), DOME TOUR, and she still released two singles right after it! Maybe she can reflect on her "old self" work ethic and inspire her current self

seriously are you on drugs? Have you forgotten about A ONE and sixxxxxx already? 15 new songs in 2015 alone. Also, while they weren't #1, they were still in the top 5 or 10 if I'm not mistaken, so, your logic is flawed.

Obviously not the same amount of numbers like before, but you can´t compare the same type of public like old days... come on guys, a group called AKB48 it´s a definitive way to compare the difference of something hot in music today.

Seiko has been closing Kouhaku for the past two years and her new best album released in December is at 85k+ and still selling. People need to stop acting like Seiko is some total flop. She's extremely respected at the moment and her best album is doing great numbers.
