How popular is Ayu around where u live?

All my little family members love her~
They think she's like some crazy princess or queen or something.
They get like fascinated by her clothes, lol.

They love Kuu too, but for other reasons.

But most of them don't like her X°D they are metal/visual-kei fans. The only love her 'cause its beautiful lol.

But other people think I'm an idiot to don't listen american or italian music >__>' so isn't so popular

Okay I got teased the other day by my asian friends for not knowing this random chinese song that apparently every asian is meant to know, and these girls had never heard of ayumi hamasaki or the got rice? song by Azn Pyrde until I had told them what it was =___=

Obviously there aren't many people who know who ayu is, that includes the people into asian stuff sometimes. But even those who do know her usually make the D: face whenever I mention her. So you can imagine she's not very popular.

Well it is multicultural day soon and there will be music playing throughout the day at school and when i looked at the list somebody already wrote ayu's name on the playlist. I was like wow i wonder who did it and the next thing you know it was the teacher XD!

...Although I did let my friend borrow my Secret CD + DVD and he said he liked it! So that was my only friend that would like Ayu, everyone else hates her! I put her on the car radio and everyone thinks it's annoying and tell me to turn it off. They said she sounds like a cat dying and Chinese music is retarded. T.T

At least I tried promoting her.

yeah , I try to persuade my friends to become Ayu's fans very often. Fortunately, they like her songs and they know she is very famous in Japan.

i duno why but ppl in singapore still seems to obsessed with korean stars. and korean dramas are everywhere... ayu is known to most ppl in singapore, but not much for her music. my colleagues just gives me that *rolls eyes* expression... which is quite sad. why do ppl judge before they even listen to her music??

oh, the only song most people actually know.. is from inuyasha....

the same thing's happening in Burma. Korean-wave is huge. Before K-dramas were Air , there were Japanese Dramas but they got no attention.

They should give a try before judging Ayu. Imo, people think J-pop is funny and not serious.
