Dunno about the bird one but the middle finger really has no meaning there except for our meaning which has undoubtedly been imported in some way but I highly doubt it's to the point where a middle finger goes up in a casual manner and people get offended.

The gay bar thing I believe was real and I don't find it out of the ordinary. I've met women who prefer gay bars/clubs since according to them the company is nicer, drinks better, and generally a bit more privacy is given since of course there are still people seeking conjugal relations but not as badly as those in normal bars.

All I said was that this story originally came from Japanese sources - it wasn't just made up by Chinese tabloids. Whether it's true or not is unknown, but the fact that it is coming from Japan first does give it a little more credibility than other rumors.

Also something I just realized upon closer inspection - the guy supposedly lives in Roppongi Hills.(ie Tokyo) So it's not like they would have just met in NYC a few weeks ago or something.

Still though, this just seems to outlandish to be true...

I know it's not just the 'evil Chinese media tabolids' but no one can trust ANY MEDIA in any country. They take one single picture and make a story out of it. Just like celebrites in America get. You could make one single sad face when a star is out with their significant other, and it's photographed and the next day, it's in the paper saying stuff like "LOVERS SPOUT!"

So I don't believe it at all. Nor do I believe what the stupid guy in the record company said.
