i really apriciated your opinion, every one have the right to tell what theyo not know what happening to AYU until now. But i belive AYU wouldn't take 'drugs' as solution. There are big diffrences bettwen people who took drugs and people who free from drugs.
From what i see until now, AYU is not using drugs, She love to work. If someone love their work they do their best no matter what happened, and so do AYU.
I do agree that AYU 'should' take a rest... and apperently AYU is taking a quick rest right now.
Hope that AYU will countinue her work in positive way.
Coz' AYU will always gonna be a perfect role model for us all.

ayu is a massive star who's every moment is followed and photographed - i think if she was doing something like that she would have been caught by now, after so many years.

but i did crack up reading ur post it was hilarious sorry but its funny when someone is so frank about drugs and i never thought about it b4

Yikes! I thought this thread had been buried! I am soooo late on this, but I guess later is better than never....

I don't think Ayu is on any illegal substances, but I DO believe that there is a possibility that she may use things that would give her more pep and energy to keep up with her inhuman scheduling. For example, I know kids in my school who take Adderral, Ritalin, or just caffeine pills to get the "umph" they need to do their work. I don't agree with using prescription things like Ritalin, and I think caffeine pills aren't a good idea, but neither of them have very adverse side effects. So I would not be surpised if Ayu used these kinds of substances.

BUT, there ARE people in this world who can live a life like Ayu's...some humans have more drive and energy than others.

Elmstreet, I think one of the reasons many people got upset with this thread was because of your wording. You didn't present the question with much tact....take this paragraph for example:

"Ayu must be on speed or something during the day, running around doing promotional stuff for Morinaga or Tu-Ka, getting her photos taken then choosing herself the ones she wishes to use, then shooting off (and up?) to do a Visée CM, followed by whatever else. She’s been buzzing all day, then ushered into some hotel room where a vaporiser’s waiting for her.. She gets into bed and takes a massive toke on some white widow, which knocks her out for a few hours, the next thing she knows it she’s being woken up, someone hands her a 10,000yen note and helps her snort some pink doves to get the next day started."

It has a mocking tone to it, so much so that it overrides your prior disclaimer of "some of the things I say may offend people". I think this was a very brave and interesting topic to start, so cheers to that, but next time change your wordinga bit, kay?

I've finally replied to this, and I must say, most of you took his theory very personally. We see American artists, such as Whitney Houston -- the once all- American artist, turn to drugs. It happens. Everyday it happens. And it may or may not happen to Ayumi.

It would really suck if she did do this. And I would lose all respect for her as an artist. But people are responsible for their own lives. And if someone lets themself get caught up in drugs, then so be it. Decisions = consequences. She's an adult. I'm sure she'll make the right decisions.

Just don't take it so personally!

She doesn't have to take drugs to keep herself mentally stable. Getting high isn't the only way to keep stable. She probably just has good tactics as to not have a breakdown. And who's to say she would? Sure she's been working her butt off, but like I said, taking drugs, shooting up.. that's .. eh. I know some artists do that, but I'd like to believe Ayu has the integrity not to do crap like that.

Took some balls to post that, but I disagree with you.

Boy, I never knew this thread ever existed! lol
anyways, I'll write something here also... (ignore me if you guys want... I'm just late on this uh, interesting topic , just posting what i think...)

Well... Ayu has a lot of friends, if she did do the unspeakable *cough* DRUGS *cough* haven't they told somebody about her "addiction" a long time ago? She should have been somewhere else by now, but I shouldn't go there... 'cause SHE ISN'T!

Is 5 years long? Half a decade... ?

Ayu is a very moral driven person, through the support of all of her "Prideful friends and you..." She gives her fans lots of respect, *note: the lowset bow at the end of her concerts, running around the huge stage and thanking all of her fans* she thanks everyone of them... she keeps on trucking because she can do it! I believe in her...

(reminds me of Anita Mui, anyone know her? anyways; may her soul live on and her memories be kept alive, but this is just me... i think she(Ayu) is equivilent to her and others... "One of the Best")

I love all her songs, and her sadness and sorrow in her songs doesnt mean she wrote them when she was on a "high" or whatnot... she doesnt write lyrics on what she did today or yesterday, lets say her lyrics are not a diary but an experience; she writes lyrics on what she and her close family and friends felt in her life and thats why her lyrics are IMO the best... from happiness to sadness, moral boosting to dramatic ballad songs...

Its very strong of you to post such things like this but you must back up your "theories" with "facts", until that time I wont believe you, and until that time... I would still not believe it... I'll stick to my path; if this is a lie, lets keep it going until the end...

Well, sorry if any of this matters to you guys, this is just me on the whole topic about how Ayu is driven be what and what not...
this is my opinion, I'll stick to this; thank you very much...

I agree.. Anyone who's done what she does for several years would surely feel comfortable with it, and like you said, have stamina.

I guess it's like.. hm.. being a mover and picking up boxes a lot.. at first your knees and back might hurt, and you'd be unused to it, but then you'd build up strength for it and it'd come easily. Bad example, but I can't think of anything else.

IMO, I think that this thread should've remained buried, rather than bringing it up and worrying about people attacking appears or someone because of things that were said over 8 months ago. This is just my opinion on posts like this, but while this thread was "unfinished", at least the arguments ended once people stopped replying.

Mariko, Aldonia was referring to appears. appears posted something rather controversial which many usual fans aren't used to thinking about. The possible other side from Ayu? This thread was buried long ago and well there's no answer to this thread. NO ONE here posted facts, it would be like making a thread "Does Ayu like pineapples?" People would be like "I've never seem her eating pineapples so the answer is no" or "There's a pineapple Haichu so I think she does like pineapples or else she wouldn't advertise such products". Unless she said "I like pineapples" or "I dislike pineapples", we wouldn't be able to have a solid answer for such thing. Every single post on this thread was solely based on personal opinions, no one has the answers for it unless Ayu is directly interviewed on a live show and she answers sincerely to the question : "Do you use or have you ever used drugs?"
For most of us fans we would rather believe she doesn't. She never mentioned anything about it anyway.
But yep it took a lot of guts for appears to post that. Knowing that many initiates would end up bashing him and all. It's not everyone who has the guts to voice their opinions like that.

Her lyrics show her intelligence. She is actually, i think, brilliant. Her brain cells would probably be deteriorating by now. And there hasn't even been a RUMOR. These sort of things always make headlines in tabloids. No tabloid crap=No possibility. Tabloid crap=very slight possibilty.

If there was a rumor of Ayu being an alien, would that be true? lol... I mean, people at times make tabloid rumors to cause controversy and arguments between people, or to lower a person's reputation because they may not like that person. I think Impact brought up a pretty good comparision about such things as this thread. There really isn't any proof that Ayu isn't taking drugs, but neither is there proof that she is. All I can base things on are what I see, and with Ayu's hectic schedule and loads of releases, I still think her tired look may be caused by stress and not because she's on drugs.

I think this was one of the most unique and interesting threads ever started on AHS.

Impactbreaker, your pineapple analogy fits this situation perfectly! Don't pass over it, everyone!
