Stop making a big deal out of this.I don't think Sparkle is erotic nor sexy and I don't think she is going all ero-kakkoi and as fans, I think that you should have a little more faith and believe in the artist you like. As far as my opinion goes Ayumi Hamasaki has never done a thing to disappoint me in any way. You don't need to love every single song that she has made and please stop making such a fuss about a few lines in an amazing song. Seriously, AUDIENCE wasn't DEEP NOR MEANINGFUL and STEP you wasn't either (honestly songs like Startin', B&D, Ladies night, ourselves, Humming 7/4, my name's WOMEN, Until that day.. and a couple of others weren't too). We all know that Ayu isn't really going to make a song that she isn't comfortable with, so please for the love of xD whoever xD stop judging the song before you even heard the full thing and do not judge the whole album/ayu's image based on it. I can't see a reason why are people frustrated and afraid of sex xD but once again this song isn't about having sex..

I made myself waaay too much doubting about the content of Sparkle.

I know it has amazing lyrics and even though I am not a woman and I can't relate to the lyrics I still like the song xD Most of those songs have good lyrics, but GOOD/AMAZING isn't = DEEP/meaningful

Whats everyones problem with the ero-style lyrics. I'll admit that I was a little surprised at first but seriously, come on, not every single song ayu writes has to be filled with deep meaning. She can write a song for fun. If all her songs where the same then people would get tired of her, she needs to change things up!

And I think its funny that some of the people who are saying they don't like the lyrics are also fans of Koda Kumi and Namie Amuro who sometimes sing lyrics WAY more based on sex than this lol

I agree that people should stop making such a big deal out of it.

Though I disagree about those songs not having meaningful lyrics... Startin', ourselves, my name's WOMEN, and definitely until that Day... have meaningful lyrics. I think you're just reading them too... shallowly?

Me too. All of these songs definitely has deep/meaningful lyrics.

As for Sparkle, I think that we just need to wait. But I know that Ayu won't disappoint us. She's always trying hard to do her BEST.

I find those lyrics (my name's WOMEN) very meaningful though. They aren't philosophical but they express the struggle against female oppression in Japan. IMO it can't be put in a list with songs like Humming 7/4. xD But that's just my opinion. ^^ I think the same of until that Day and ourselves.
