^ I believe it was originally supposed to be 6 songs - it was announced as a mini-album. Then shortly after it was changed to a full-length. She said in some interviews that she pulled unreleased songs, old demos, etc. to fill it out because she was feeling inspired or something to that extent.

If you search the forum you should be able to find a history of it in the news.

IIRC First plans saw 1 LOVE/JEWEL as a Single. Than the Single Songs (Startin‘, Born To Be..., BLUE BIRD, Beautiful Fighters) + 1 LOVE, JEWEL and Secret as the Mini-Album.
It was was originally recorded for (miss)understood and until that Day... was originally an Intro/interlude which ayu loved so much to ask for a full Song out of it...

If I remember it right, it would have 7 tracks... Startin', Born To Be..., Blue Bird, beautiful fighters were singles, so I guess the other ones were those with MVs... JEWEL, 1 Love and momentum.

It was announced with 7 tracks. Most likely it was suppose to be something like this...

We knew the song titles JEWEL and 1 LOVE from early August of that year.

Thanks for the info guys! This is really interesting cause it was shaped pretty much like Memorial address - a couple of new tracks and all songs except the title track (which was coming in the end of the tracklist like a bonus) having its own video. And yeah seems like Secret was supposed to be a hidden (or should I say... secret?) track on the EP.

I'm also glad she turned it into a full album, Secret is a really strong work of art and until that Day is still THAT bop.

Funny enough, it was until that Day that became a concert staple. And it almost didn't exist.

ayu: This was originally a song made by CMJK to be used as an instrumental. It was really short, but I really loved the feel of the guitar and the B-melody, so told him I'd love it if he could make it a full-length song. Ever since I first heard the song, I had in mind what I wanted to write about. The lyrics I wanted to express were in my head, so I was just waiting for CMJK's song. So I waited, but once it came, it was so hard to fit the words to it! (wry laugh)

mister kaz: It's rattled off pretty fast, huh?

ayu: Yeah. It was so hard to make the words hit right on the notes. I had something I wanted to say, but fitting the words to the notes, as well as having to always cut at a good spot for breaths, it was difficult. I made a kind of word puzzle at home.

mister kaz: Like... you wrote down and combined synonyms with the same meaning as those of the words you wanted to express?

ayu: Yeah! On pieces of paper, I would put down words I wanted to write, as well as synonyms for those words. Then, I'd line up the papers, and combine them as I changed around the order. I made this song very differently from the way I usually write.

I feel like people that don't know "Moments" can really be into this track (I would!) but because I know the original it just gives me anxiety of when the lyrics will start and so on lol But interesting to see his choice.
