L'Arc-en-Ciel's 'Mirai' to be released on CD in August

L'Arc-en-Ciel's latest song "Mirai" will be released as a CD single on August 25.

The band first performed "Mirai" in May during their 30th anniversary live '30th L'Anniversary Starting Live ~L'APPY BIRTHDAY!~' at Makuhari Messe. It was picked up as the opening theme for the online action RPG 'BLUE PROTOCOL,' and was released digitally on May 31.

The single will be released in four different types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B (BLUE PROTOCOL Edition), Complete Production Edition (VR Edition), and Regular Edition. Limited Editions A and B will come with a Blu-ray disc containing the music video for "Mirai" and other footage. Meanwhile, the Complete Production Edition will come with an original Hacosco that will allow you to enjoy special contents on the smartphone app 'L'Arc-en-Ciel 30th L'Anniversary VR Museum.'

HYDE reveals teaser footage for 'NOSTALGIC' filmed in his hometown of Wakayama

HYDE has revealed teaser footage for his new song "NOSTALGIC" which was released digitally on June 25.

For "NOSTALGIC," HYDE returns to the worldview that was portrayed in his first solo album "ROENTGEN" (released in 2002). The MV was filmed at Shirasaki Coast, which is a sightseeing spot in his hometown of Wakayama.

HYDE had to get special permission from the Yura Town Hall to film on the rocks, which is usually a prohibited area and had to be supervised by the town hall personnel. A drone was also used to capture HYDE's performance.

HYDE's smartphone game to be released on July 15

HYDE's smart phone game app 'HYDE RUN' will be released on July 15 to commemorate 20 years of his solo career.

'HYDE RUN' is currently being developed under full supervision by HYDE. In the game, players will play as HYDE and run through a city called NEO-TOKYO. A trailer that introduces the game content has been revealed at this time.

To commemorate the release of 'HYDE RUN,' attendees of HYDE's tour '20th Orchestra Tour HYDE ROENTGEN 2021' on July 21 at Sapporo Cultural Arts Theater hitaru will receive an exclusive towel based on the game.

HYDE to livestream 20th anniversary orchestra concert at Heian Shrine

HYDE has announced a special two-day concert celebrating 20 years as a solo artist.

Titled '20th Orchestra Concert 2021 HYDE HEIANJINGU,' the events will take place on July 31 and August 1 at Kyoto's Heian Shrine, which is considered to be one of Japan's top cultural landmarks. The performances will be broadcasted live in movie theatres across Japan and will be streamed live worldwide as well.
