Sorry if you like some of the mentioned, but I can't stand them. I prefer indie rock, emo rock, and just completely funky stuff like the Arctic Monkeys. <333

Yellowcard, Fall Out Boy etc. are actually considered the hottest **** in the contemporary emo scene, so I'm quite curious to see what emo bands you like. Then again, emo has been going downhill since the early 90s anyway and I find it a pity that the once so brilliant genre is now populated by generic pop punk bands. Check out stuff like Rites of Spring, Embrace (US), Fugazi, Mohinder, Heroin - real emo. Thursday, Thrice and the like are good 3rd/4th generation emo.

Arctic Monkeys is considered indie by the way, eventhough they signed to Domino.

The lead singer of Green Day said that if one of his fans told him that they voted for Bush, he'd tell them they were stupid. That's why I hate them. Plus, since when have Green Day been emo? They're a punk. Emo bands don't sing about politics.

Personally I think Green Day is overrated. They suffer from massive over play.

Fall out boy is so funny. If anything they make fun of the scene and they play off being pop-punk. Their music is good and it appeals to the masses. I'd hardly call them emo because they don't sing about heart break like an emo band would.

Emo is just a generic label people use to describe things they disagree with. You are emo, why don't you kill yourself? :]

! Emo kids are the one who say they want to kill themselves for attention and never do it xD..I think Fall Out Boy is funny because of the vids on youtube trying to translate what they say xD! Green Day just bugs me in general xD!
