I tried to stay out of this conversation but I feel strongly about my opinion, why in the hell is everyone hating on Edison? The girls are the stupid ones for letting him take the pictures in the first, so why isn't anyone blaming them? Am I missing something? Did Edison drug them or something? Because I really don't see how the girls are innocent in this situation...

I believe it's because of :

-edison's bad attitude and character ( even before the scandal ).
-he's certainly not the role model for people.
-he had ruined the reputation of 12 female stars to date.
-he chose to hide from the media when the scandal first broke out..instead of clarifying with the media like what some of the female victims; gillian did.
-he took advantage of lydia's situation
( he came back to HK during the demise of HK megastar lydia sum..reason? to avoid being the target for media of course )

there's jolin and elva's pic~~
but they swear its not them and it was photoshopped
elva even said if the pic is real
she is gonna donate (huge amount of money)...

ayu_fan929: I agree that 3 weeks was too long. But if his apology ended up like Gillian's, that'd be maybe worse. Oh I guess he was too busy asking Vincy in marriage.

~Amy~: Well this only reasonable reason to hate him is that he was careless and took a lot of time to appear in public. Other than that, there's no reason. I hear people saying that he drugged the girls. Come on! If it was true, Edison would be in court right now. I also doubt that he would take the time to drug them everytime he slept with them. Seriously, I feel more sad for him than the girls. I mean, he dropped school because his father was rich and all his life was based on money money and money. This scandal is like a slap in the face that says welcome to the real world.

LOL, he went to the very same high school as me and the alumni there tell me that he skipped a lot of school back then. Let's just say that he was spoiled and full of himself from the very start and that's what I really dislike about him.

He didn't even really take responsibility for his actions other than telling people to delete the photos. My heart goes out to him because scandals are not fun, I totally relate. However, it's all somewhat ridiculous for me.

^ lol i read about some reasons (rumor) for his weird behaviour;

-his father was a gay, thus he was very repulsive against homosexuals.
-at 17, he was betrayed by his girlfriend, who had sex with another guy..this resulting in his weird fetish and behaviour.

His apology tape does not sound sincere. What's up with asking people to destroy when he never destroy it in the first place?
I do think that the girls' are at fault, but Edison is the one who start it, why is he hiding for 3 weeks and leaving others to handle this situation alone?

Yeah, it's not as simple as you say it is. There are no definite answers as to why someone behaves they way they do in a specific situation. People say what they "should" and "should not" do but really, if you were put in that situation, would you know for certain that you would not do the same thing as what him did? It's easy to condemn a behavior, but hard to understand if you were not put in his position in that exact situation. Maybe you feel comparatively speaking that Gillian is more responsible than Edison just because she spoke to the media earlier than him, but I just feel that what he has to do is done. He spoke to the media in the end and that's done and it should lay to rest. It's much better than not doing it at all... if that happened, I would agree with you that he hid cowardly and that he was irresponsible.
