well....have you ever own both versions of the same concerts? then you might be able to tell the difference. I saw a difference with My Story Tour, i had both(the OS version i sold to a friend already), and during 'Inspire' live, the difference are quite obvious, or when the camera goes to darker areas/close ups, you can see the difference of the sharpness of the faces

Did anyone get the HK version of this DVD from YesAsia? I got an extra disc 1 and 2 in a paper slip wrapped with the DVD. What is it for? o__O

^that is because the first version, has a bad quality, remade from the taiwan version which was already remade from the japan version

and that the subtitles can't be turn off.

the extra discs are of better quality, closer to the JP version, and the chinese sub can be turn off.

see....i told you there had been differences between the JP and OS versons, but you always said i'm talking gibberish. so this incident just prove i'm not crazy....

i would like to ask,
what is the differences between HK and TW in
*packaging? (like some said its yellowish or greenish)
*subtitles? (usually both are using same dialect right?means HK version will not use HK dialect,is it?)

^ Packaging for AC is indeed more yellowish/greenish than the Japan version. Not sure about PCDL though. Subtitles for both HK and TW press are traditional chinese.

Just because they made a mistake in authoring the DVD does not mean that the picture and sound quality is any different. Avex Asia made a mistake.. it happens. I still think you're talking crap because I've never seen an overseas version DVD where I've seen anything wrong with the quality. And there is definitely nothing wrong with the covers or the booklets. That's a load of crap as well.

Wish people would get off their high horses thinking the Japanese product is always superior. No.

^hello, i'm not trying to act superior, it's just that i don't like people to say i'm talking crap when it's the truth.
and for your info: i have both JP and OS PCDL DVD versions and there is a difference....i got the replacement discs yesterday and it's slightly poorer then the JP. I merely want to state that for those people who want the best quality, JP is still better.

and you can ask anyone around, they will tell you that there is a difference between the first OS version and the JP version DVD. A lot of people had got it and are unhappy with the quality.

Not that I'm biased also, but it's really the truth that the OS press and JP press is inferior. You don't see how the OS press is inferior because you think the OS press is fine and haven't actually seen both versions physically. Sure the OS press is fine, but the JP press is BETTER. Like I've said before, the OS press of A COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~ is of an inferior quality of the JP press. And Lacus has both presses of AC and PCDL DVD. So... yeah. I myself has seen the difference of the OS press of AC and the JP press of AC. I've compared them side by side too. What proof do you have that the OS press is exactly of the same quality of the JP press anyway?

@ Tony: Maybe Jiarong stated it better, but Lacus is right - the OS press is good, even great, but the JP press is better. Maybe superior is the right word to get it across - but the DVD print is better, the DVD case is usually better and the quality of the paper the booklet has is better. I only have a few DVDs but I have lots of CDs and some are OS press - the paper in JP presses is usually nicer in feeling and the album DVDs have slightly better picture than the OS press.

The paper is something that most people notice when comparing versions, but the picture/sound quality is usually picked up by audi/visuophiles I personally don't notice it that much but it's not relevant to my viewing habits but I'm aware that there are differences

Getting back on the topic of the new DVDs... If I were to order PCDL now, the order of best quality would be JP > HK > TW? Or is the TW press still superior to the new HK press?

The new TW press would be better than the HK one. But as of now, since HK as already produced and released the new batch, HK is better.
