it's a little too sudden haha but u know... I think when you're in love... like imo it doesn't matter how long u know him or anything but yeah.. I mean I thought with "November" it's kinda obvious how she feels about marrying Mannie.

they're so cute together, and I'm just so so so happy for her I'm thinking she might have 2 weddings - a western style, and a Japanese style... <3

she can legally change her last name when they get married, but still keep her stage name too for covers and stuff.

omg I just watched the making ofs of Virgin Road, Love song & Last angel, and it's like so cute... how they were like normal in VR, then suddenly in Ls & La they were all like teasing and cuddling hehe... what a sweet!!

I've tried singing with ear infections and hearing problems and it's tough. You don't know what you're doing and if you can't hear yourself. You'll sound like hell, and I've been singing for years. So I can see how going fully deaf in one ear (I've got a ringing in my right ear, and it really made things strange at first as at times it makes it hard to focus on other things I'm trying to hear. Before it started ringing it was blocked and I couldn't hear well with it... and I had an infection and it's been ringing since) can REALLY mess up a performance when you're used to being able to at least hear in it somewhat. You know? Even a minor change can really throw things off...

Who is to say that she didn't GET an ear infection, and was ill and in pain and lost her hearing around that performance?

As for the wedding, I am absolutely positively thrilled for Ayu and Mannie and pray that they do well together and are extremely happy for many many years to come.

I remembered that CNN interview "Talk Asia" from 2006 or something. I just watched it again and found that cit, I was remembering and looking for:

...because private is private, right? I wanna keep my private future a secret.

So, if this would be real news and not marketing strategy, I wonder why Ayu has changed her mind that drastically. What could be more private and important for the future than a marriage?

Don't you think she wanted to announce it before it happened? The fans, especially the Japanese ones, would feel betrayed if she just secretly married him. And when you are in love, why not share it? It's a pretty nice feeling.

she also said in TA about a year or two ago that if she were to find someone special or be in love, TA would be the first to know. I think it's cute how she kept that promise.

Very true. It may not be obvious, but the way she chose to introduce the situation on her blogs and twitter was very wise, and pretty awesome actually. I'm confident that it lowered the shock to many.
