She sounds so fantastic during this a-nation!~ The lack of Sunrise is depressing though.

Also her body is so homminahomminahomminahommina this year.

Ayu isn't even singing on half of Last angel. I don't know what to make of it. I wouldn't call it her best performance. What I heard so far is not bad vocally, though.

And I agree with too many people on stage. Why are there so many dancers? High time to reduce the numbers.

Last Angel is a call-response kinda thing, singing all of it wouldn't work with the song. There's a reason everything is repeated in a different pitch in the verses.

It's not like evolution where there is only that short part she doesn't sing live. It is half of the song and if you change the live version a bit I think it would be would be no problem to sing it all. It doesn't have to sound exactly like the recorded version.

Singing the same verses twice is still kinda pointless...

I dont think it is pointless. And if it is pointless...why does she do it on the song?

in that case she should just sing the chorus of every song once and just stand there waving her arms for every subsequence chorus?

There are not many dancers, there are the dancers and the AT10 acrobatics+clowns which make acrobits and tricks and don't really dance except for some parts.

I don't really get the reasoning behind the not-singing in Last angel, but eh.

She has the same amount of dancers + 3 acrobats. The clowns aren't there. I think it just seems like a lot even though she had to 'replace' a dancer or two with new ones since they were all on stage at once.

The only way she could sing the whispering parts are if she sings and her voice will be vocoded.

Also it's just the same verses that she sings anyway. I don't really understand why it's a problem. =P

Me neither. I never expected her to sing them tbh, even from the studio version, it made sense to me from the PV, Ayu in life and Ayu in death singing the parts. Singing the same verse twice would just seem stupid.
And just like you said, it's just a repetition of the same parts in another pitch and with vocal effects layed over. If she sang them it would either sound weird cause of the effects live or she would do that part playback like she always did for vocoded parts in Fly High and stuff.

I think it would make more sense to sing all of it. It is just weird when she is standing there and her own voice is coming from somewhere and she isn't singing. But maybe that's just me.

Her voice sounds so much better in Last angel. So much more effortless and unforced. I still haven't watched the rest yet. I don't know if I will. >_<

Ugh Ayu... please stop singing Last Angel! It's one of my favorites but she's ruining it for me. Dream ON needs to stop, too.

I liked this year's a-nation lmao. I don't get where all the criticism is coming from

Her vocals have definitely improved. Even if she didn't sing half of Last angel (and that's not a problem for me), she was definitely not straining herself and had control over her voice. I liked how everyone cheered when she took off her sunglasses lmaaao. She needs less dancers for this song though...the stage looked crowded cause they all bunched in the middle. It's not so bad in the other songs, since they were spread out.

She looks reaaaaaaalllly fit. Like wowow 30 years old and so fit :O

Dream on and ANother song were solid performances. Greatful days was okay. Not much to say about these songs.

I like WOW WAR TONIGHT though It seemed like a very energetic song and really fits a-nation. The audience seemed to love it too. I get the feeling this is a TK song haha...

July 1st was same as always...and its a summer song so I guess it's a good end.

Overall, it wasn't as bad as what everyone's making it out to seem. It's just very different from past a-nations. I guess not everyone likes that about it haha..

It's nice to see how much fun Ayu had even with all that drama. I don't really like how Tohoshinki closed a-nation...but it was already weird how they went after TRF TRF closed a-nation when Ayu wasn't there in the past and it made sense cause of their seniority... Avex sure is making some interesting decisions.

You are right, lol. WOW WAR WOW WAR TONIGHT WOW WAR FOREVER~

And it was Ayu's decision to go second-to-last. I love how her performance felt like she was last anyway, DOHOHOHOHO. Is she the only artist who does the band/dancer introductions and "VOCAL: AYU, DESHITA!" at the end of her a-nation set?

tbh, there is a mental list I have of Ayu songs that are better off not performed live due to execution issues/not translating well to the stage, lol. Last angel is one of them. Another is Ladies Night.

You're right, it's just one of those songs where she just doesn't sound that great live. She seems to love to sing it though. And I do love to hear it... on my MP3 player lol.

As far as this a-nation goes... meh, I think I'm just bias because nothing will top 2008-2009 a-nations for me.

Last angel is nowhere near to the way she butchered Ladies night the last time; is this LOVE? is also one of the songs she should never perform live. Imo Last angel's just fine live ^^

I loved Ladies Night at AT06 and also at the CDL coupled with STEP you! It was perfect!
