I'll just stick to what I said before. Her real privat3 life stays out of the press. We get publicity stunts. And like others have stated what perfect timing. Did anyone forget to say WHAT A CROCK!!! And did you guys already forget the fake kiss in You & Me? If it was real why fake that ? But again, believe the publicity stunt as always and say the rest of us are full of conspiracy theories. It's still AHS, I was surprised to see so many not buying it, but I'm with them, I'm not buying it either.

Of course we don't get to know Ayu's real life. Everything she does, everything she says etc is meant to provide her job as a songstress. Still there are people who believe in such publicity stunts, maybe even after the very obvious fake-marriage from the Love songs era.

It's cool. There are people, who believe in what the media and Ayu says, and then again, there are people like me, enjoying her job in a manner, similar to the way you'd watch a movie. Saying, it's just a dream, not reality. Most people would fall out of their shoes if they'd really get to know the people behind images like Ayu's.

After all no one knows who she is... Does this keep things interesting and exciting? Yes! It's all up to your imagination to see reality through the eyes of your mind

Going deaf being a singer... Breaking an arm having to perform... Marring being a woman in Japan... Marring a foreigner in Japan... Divorcing beign a woman in Japan... Dating a younger man in Japan... If she really is trying to promote herself though doing everything japanese people hate their idols do, maybe she should be caught with drugs the next time, it would be awesome!

lol, really? since when is someone breaking an arm or going deaf in an ear constitute as something people hate in an idol? I can't think of another idol with a hearing impairment and there's generally an outpouring of sympathy not hate in that event. And Utada and Namie are both divorced, no? I think Ayumi has reached a point where any news is better than no news at all. Even Kumi's career wasn't completely destroyed after her "rotten amniotic fluid" remark.

- Utada is not an idol.
- A good amount of the people offended by Koda's joke weren't even part of her public.
- The divorce (among other stuff) almost destroyed Namie's career (yeah, like, it didn't start with Queen of Hip Pop )
- Idols must be perfect, perfect people don't cancel performances because of broken arms (or falling on 3m holes during their Dome Tours) and they aren't deaf, even more if they are singers.

Did you mean Style for Namie? Queen of Hippop was the start of her career revival. Anyhow, my point was that if it was such a terrible thing, Namie's career would have never recovered.
And regarding the illness, why is it that when an AKB girl gets sick, she doesn't automatically get kicked out of the group if what you're saying is true? Really, that opinion is awfully extreme and as rabid as fans can be I can't see it happening unless you can cite an example.

It took Namie +- 7 years to recover from her pregnancy~marriage~divorce... When you go from the biggest popstar in the country to almost nobody and take 7 years to be relevant again (and +-10 years to go back on the top), you did something terrible to the public eyes. People buying her stuff nowadays most likelly don't even really remember her scandal because they were way too young for it.

Ayumi was considered to be one of the most undesireble people as a spokeperson after getting deaf, and the reason was her deafness. I believe this is a very good example of it having a bad impact on her career. It could raise the interest on if people took the "wow, she is a fighter!" road, but this never happened.

Believing Ayu is doing everything that actually ruins her image to the public trying to do publicity stunts is not very clever IMO.
