Don't get the Honey hate. It's a well-written song, with strong hooks all round. This classical mashup version sounds strange cos they transferred the whole vocal track complete with autotuned harmony over, but the original version was great.

The idea behind this album is nice but I really wish she had picked some other songs. SEASONS is so overused and already had such a superior 'classical' version on the A Classical album. She has SO MANY MORE BALLADS TO CHOOSE FROM!! Endless sorrow, Moments, No way to say, HEAVEN?!?!?! Sigh. What a waste.

It's already been stated that this is an album about pure love. That's why we don't see sad tracks like Endless sorrow or HEAVEN on it. It's like a cute album for Valentine's Day coming around the corner.

omg I'm actually really enjoying this version of HONEY???? It suffers from the "over-synthed" syndrome that the rest of the album seems to but I find myself not really minding, it's like a fun little album so whatev. who am I @__@

I wish the instruments (specifically guitars and drums) sounded less programmed. YOU is not too good imo and SEASONS is messy. It's nice so far, but too artificial.

The idea is pretty well executed, however they have changed the original pieces SO MUCH they are barely recognisable. I would be happy to hear the instrumental versions, but this is what I will listen one time and never again. Eventhough it sounds nice.

I'm really loving this release. I can see why some people don't like this. But I'm also curious to know how they were looking forward to this? Because I myself thought it would be something like the Acoustic Orchestra releases. But I'm actually very surprised. This is something entirely different. And I personally needed Ayu to do that, because her recent work hasn't really given me that "fresh" feel like it used to. This is nostalgia and refreshing all in one. But I can see how this can dissapoint if you were expecting something else?

I also think this classic song mashup thing is something else to listen to, you know? I hear two songs at the same time and Ayu's I know by heart, but the classic songs are just "familiar" to me if that makes any sense? My ears don't know what's happening to them. In a good way. It's been a while since music gave me that feeling. I hope they will do this again with other types of songs, because JEWEL, HEAVEN and Memorial address in this style would be pure eargasm. Or July 1st... or Real me. Haha. Imagine Rule O_O

Yeah, I'm really surprised by how much I like it overall! If she had done two things differently, though, this album could have been off-the-charts amazing:

1. Re-recorded vocals, but that's not important as...
2. A real orchestra with much less synth

But I like the arrangements and will probably be picking this up at some point, which I'm surprised by.

I only liked Virgin Road, Days, You and To be based on the previews. I'm not really fond of remix/compilation albums so i'm still in doubt of purchasing it.

How about the booklet, CD scan and back cover?

Wow, I really like this release. To get me to listen to different versions of ballads is a challenge too. I felt really drained of classical/acoustic orchestra after A Classical even though I normally like it.

But this makes me happy that this was released.
I think this release was put together well. And the arrangements are great.

Honey is beyond cute. I really like what they did with it. This release also put life into a lot of other songs that I was kind of done with for a while. Like, Virgin Road and Seasons. Even Dearest. Idk, it's all great. I may buy this for my birthday.

I really don't have a favorite song. I like that they added a beat, but "mashup with famous classical masterpieces" or not, this is still a standard orchestra album that doesn't really sound that different from the rest. Actually, I don't know most of the songs sampled, so from my perspective, most of/almost all of these songs just sound like another acoustic orchestra version.

Why did she re-recorded the vocals for HONEY but this time with a clothes peg on the nose? lol

I agree with artika, this song should be erase from her discography

Lmao. Your comment is funny but I LOVE the original HONEY. It works in context of the original track.

I haven't given this album a listen yet but I see that generally people dislike Honey. I will defend this song. I have presented Ayu to some people and Honey is one of those songs that really stuck in their heads in a positive way. It's cute, but not overly sugared, have some sweet warmth in it and it doesn't have cheap electronic composition. I can't put it on the same shelf with Thank U, You & Me because for me Honey is much more better in terms of music, lyrics and general felling as I said. Done with offtop, need to download the album :>

Yes, HONEY has a really well fleshed out arrangement and I think the song is really catchy. The chorus is so cute and the even that little melody during the intro is wonderful. Certainly not anything similar to Thank U and I find it more enjoyable than You & Me and Feel The Love as far as upbeat pop songs go.

Listening to the album... I'm loving it so far. Really well done. As a fan of classical music as well, this project was not something I expected from Ayu and I'm amazed to have it!

On the subject of HONEY, I'm not a big fan of the original but the LOVE CLASSICS version is surprisingly cute.
