i don't get the hate for Lelio PV, i think it looks so much fun and the energy in it is awesome

The problem with lelio and XOXO pv's are that they look cheap like a amateur made them. Not like miss top queen. But it'd say the same all the way back till Wake Up and Song 4 U PV's but those weren't so cheaply looking more so than just not enough effort.

I just think the execution was tacky. Ayu looked cool, but she kind of set the video up for a bunch of choreography that she couldn't deliver on. I can't get over the anticlimax of the beginning of the video, when Ayu and the dancers are practically running toward the camera as if Ayu is going to show everyone she can dance, but they all stop and Ayu just hops around and shakes her ass like a toddler. The rest of the video is cool, but Ayu's scenes are just a letdown. If you can't dance, try not to frame an entire video around set ups for choreographed dance scenes...

XOXO was fun, but the execution was a little tacky. Again, just like the NaNaNa video, if you can't dance, don't set up choreographed dance scenes in a PV.

I think everything else about the videos were awesome though. I loved the throwback to do it again at the beginning of XOXO, and I totally loved LICO being a huge part of that video. I hate to admit this, but I wish Tim was with them in XOXO. And Lelio is totally full of energy and the guys do amazing acrobatics. Its just like how Angel is actually an amazing PV but Ayu over-blowing the lip sync was unavoidably distracting from the rest of the video.

I would love to see her do something similar. It would break the monotony of Ayu walking down or standing in halls like she's done in a dozen videos in the last 5 or 6 years. But I don't want anymore choreography setups unless Ayu is actually going to dance... Not hop around dance.

I wonder if Ayu has considered taking dance classes? She seems to have a good memory for basic routines. I bet she would pick up some advanced dance classes quickly.

I have learned to have no good expectations for ayu's pv in the past few years. That way, I wouldn't be doomed to dissapointment and cringefest if another XOXO, lelio, Angel, feel da love etc appears.

On the topic of dancing and the NaNaNa PV, whilst I didn't think much of the dancing in Leilo, I enjoyed it in NaNaNa's PV.

I feel second-hand embarrassment every time I watch Lelio. It's so tacky and poorly-made, which is a shame because I really like the song.

The problem is when you start expecting with ayu, she wont always give you want you want, she does dabble in other things than just doing the same over and over her American base album was her dabbling in America shes already moved on. If you don't like it, listen to another of her 16+ albums/mini

Colours had some of the most disastreous videos she has done. It's the only album I own without a DVD/BD.

The only instances I'm aware of Ayu copying another artist's music were the songs from SWEETBOX on (miss)understood, which Ayu was 100% forthcoming about using their original tracks with her lyrics. But the difference there was that Ayu didn't hire a producer to make a near replica of SWEETBOX's music.

The only other closest thing I can think of are her actual covers of songs... like SEVEN DAYS WAR. But those are covers of another artist, not an original but clearly derived new work from the song.

And I'm complaining about Namie doing it because... well... it's Namie-freakin'-Amuro. She's been around for over 20 years but could sneeze into a tissue 12 times and sell 300,000 copies of it in the first week. Why copy another artist when she could write an amazing ballad with her eyes closed? In the last few years, she's written beautiful, Tempest, Love Story, and arigatou. All four easily sit among her best ballads, and none of them were the lead track on a single or album. So, it just seems unreasonable... but it's already been done and released, so it's not going to make a difference what I or anyone think about it.

And what are you talking about Namie writing original material? Namie has nearly nothing to do with the creation process of her songs, she doesn't write the songs at all, so it really makes no difference for her to release something that a previous artist already released or not, the compositions are just presented to her and she choose whichever ones she feels like it...

I don't like any of the "love story line" PV's. (wake me up, glitter/fated, you & me, snowy kiss). Only one I like is Love again/Last angel - it's pretty unique and well thought. And it's not a typical story line - Virgin Road completes it very well.

I really like glitter/fated and virgin road/Love songs/Last Angel stories, but You & Me/Wake me up/snowy kiss isn't that good. I don't dislike it either though.

I like glitter/fated because that's when I started following Ayu (I think it was the first single of hers that I downloaded). You & Me/snowy kiss is something that I don't like to remember, she being physically abused was awful.
