Well I finally got to watch it! I have to admit that throughout the entire thing I...was absolutely laughing my butt off.

I admit that these kinds of PVs are my favorite. To me, it just screams parody. And I like what somebody said earlier about her "breaking down the wall to western music" and pretty much...infiltrating it. I thought about that while watching the PV and it fit perfectly.

And I would dare say that Ayu was sexy in this PV. Then again, she's been just as cute as she has been sexy to me in the past.

Perhaps its because the image of Ayu being 'sexy <3' is sort of.. not engraved in our minds as Ayu fans? We are so used to her being cute and innocent, and when she does something that's out of that .. 'cute exterior' it catches people off guard.

Ayu's a sezzybish and no one can change that! :p [Would you call Ai Otsuka a sezzybish? Especially in that 680yen thing?] XD

This pv was really (in a way) cheesy and retarded (just some parts) and can be gross in the parts when the guys and girls are all over Ayumi. -shudders-

But the song is great, most of the pv is tight especially when everyone is in black (my favorite parts!!) Cause I love my dancers and Ayu at the same time. (Dancers as in Naoto, Shu-Ya, and Zin)

Didn't like any of the white or black people, like in the truck too, but their face expressions were funny.

I didn't think of Toxic but I did think of Kill Bill. Kind of disappointed.

It's normal for her to look sexy, she's almost 30 and maybe she has sex every day of the week, it's not the end of the world, she doesn't have to look innocent or intellectual, she can look however she likes.

I'm loving the PV and there's no hidden message, it's just a cool/fun/parody PV!

Whoever mentioned Sephiroth BWAHAHAHAH no the fire scene doesn't reminds me of Sephiroth but it was darn funny Sephiroth was brought in in an ayu-pv discussion XDDD

Anyway, I'm glad to be an Ayu supporter that I always get to enjoy so many different types of pvs from her. Even if I don't like some of her pvs like ANGEL'S SONG, I appreciate that it was a something different at least. This Startin' PV uh well it's just so different and fresh I am at a loss of words what to say. Lately, ayu has been having such pvs that stun me alot like alterna and ladies night.

When ayu lands on the ground swiftly it reminded me of yuffie and tifa from FF7AC lol, including some motorcycle scenes. Nono I'm not trying to start copy thingy but it just plaining reminded me of those scenes, it was funny and interesting. This pv is great xD

oh... the lalala in Startin' can't be compared to the superior lalalas in HEAVEN and Moments

. Those lalalas are "must be" in the songs.. whereas the lalala in Startin' is useless... She could have don something else other than lalala, and she has been using lalala too much.. e.g., Who..., Fly high, monochrome, July 1st, Greatful days, girlish (i think), etc.. Not to mention those three above...

This PV really made me laugh. The part where she jumps off the motorcycle is so anime-like. I loved the way she was chasing and mocking the Americans (no offense intended). She manages to be cute and sexy at the same time.
I love that part around 2.48, when the people in the car go "Waah!" and it matches the music perfectly. That made me laugh so much.
The mask thing at the end of the PV has been done before, but I love the face she makes, so I think she pulls it off really well.
Oh, and that black dress looks amazing on her! It reminded me a bit of Step You.
I think the song is great, I like the 'polished' studio version better than the live version. It's a great PV. It's a bit like Ladies Night, it's got a lot of eyecandy, and a lot of crazy stuff is happening. That's what makes me love those PVs. I'm going to enjoy watching this PV over and over.

The rub was nothing more than a quick dance move (and different from what happens on koda kumi's PV, the moves weren't repetitive since repetitive moves are more characteristically representative of sex). If you actually added all the parts they're suposedly rubbing it is not much more than 10 seconds. The whole PV is 5min 27sec, which means that's an insignificant fraction of the PV.
I actually thought she was sexy in that black dress, specially by the way she waves the hat around and how her hair moves and her anger stare.

I guess everyone has their own views on what is 'sexy' in this world, hm? I think that Ayu did this PV as a sort of 'attempt' to try what the Western world of pop music does, sort of like what B&D was, but infused with Japanese weirdness. :p

[you know, we should be glad Ayu makes PVs that have stories sometimes... since most music videos in the US are pointless :x]
