^Yes. He's in his late 70's and his full name is Johnny H. (Hiromu) Kitagawa.

He's still alive... o_O Wow... he must have really good health and all that...

I can imagine it being really stressful owning such a large entertainment company in Japan.

I wonder who will takeover his place when he dies... does he have any children?

I think I might buy the Ayumi single, although I don't think it would help their sales much. T__T

I bought both editions of Yakusoku at the local HMV . There're 2 HMV shops in S'pore & the bigger one HMV Heeren is located in Orchard Road which's the shopping heart of my country .

HMV Heeren has 3 levels in which the 3rd level is dedicated to jpop/kpop/cpop/movies dvds & most of the latest jpop stuff are imported over here

it's lucky that the LE of Yakusoku doesn't have a DVD

Oh wow, that's very nice to hear. So you are lucky that you can buy most of your jpop cd's close-by; must be convenient for you.

HMV Heeren has a whole level of asian stuff. o_O Very neat! ^^

yeah I'm quite lucky , somehow I"m living in South East Asia & Japan's located north of Asia

I'm able to buy almost 85% of my jpop stuff locally now that HMV has began importing BREAKERZ , alan , GIRL NEXT DOOR's material over here

the jpop market's quite OK here but it's not as big as kpop or cpop

^ oh you changed your name!

yeah, it's pretty amazing how Johnny's can sell, despite the world economic crisis. everyone seems to suffer, except for them, haha. Mr. Johnny Kitagawa should be in Obama's cabinet or something. he surely knows how to get people spending!

great sales for the KinKi Kids!
