How come new members comment have to be approved first, as well as new thread?
And how long does this last?

It was made to prevent trolls. Each new members have to have 5 posts approved by the staff before they can start posting normally.

5? Felt like a lot more when I first joined, plus, a lot of my "reviewed" comments never ended up appearing, anyway that could be fixed?

I know! It felt like a week. My post did appear who I was finally free from prison. XD Oh, if your post didn't appear austin, it must have been because your post wasn't on topic or whatever.
