But ayu's voice is becoming lower each year. It is really obvious with lives.

I will be happy if she could keep Virgin road's voice for the rest of her career, but I'm afraid it won't be like that. She has "good" and "bad" days for sure, but it's not my point.

You know what I think would be awesome? If the Last angel melody was pervasive throughout the album. Like, if it were hinted in the interludes or a couple of other songs, as it's hinted in Love song. Not so that all songs sound the same, of course, but just to tie them together musically.

I've pinpointed my problem. The parts of the song that bother me are the parts where the kick drum is counting out the time. It's what makes me dislike Bad Romance, and it's affecting my ability to love this song, its just so lazy and it doesn't give the song any forward motion. It almost stagnates it when it starts doing that.

A good pop song should put empahsis on 2 and 4, not all four beats of a measure...

It'll be the normal double case with a thick paper/card stock-ish sleeve. I think A BEST 2's CD+DVD had the "sleeve case" for the first press.

On the contrary, any music should not have constant emphasis on offbeats because no tactus would be established then.

How I hear it is the bass drum provides continuity in the pulse and may help to portray the character Ayu is portraying in the song which sounds authoritative. The forward motion would be provided by process in pitch, which has a nice rising and falling contour.

I think the issue with it is that not everyone is going to be able to understand the discussion even though it is thought provoking. (Well, your response was anyway, hating a song simply because it didn't emphasize offbeats is just being nitpicky.)

Even if Ayu wasn't the one to compose or arrange the song, it still feels very much like her. I kind of wonder what her input during arranging/composition select is like.

I was referring to the drum discussion. The drums portraying Ayu's character? Ayu didn't compose the song.

Lyrics are a component of the "song", which has been the tradition since the beginnings of secular music. If her lyrics were anything than what Ayu does of the norm, I'm sure people would have a hard time adjusting int he beginning.

Ayu didn't compose the song, but if Ayu thought the drum was out of place in the music I'm sure she would have requested to have it removed. I mean after all, it's common knowledge that Ayu pretty much control over every aspect of her career (in these recent years) no?

@truehappiness - You are right, although I wanted to discuss the music since someone else brought it up.
