I don't know what to say about Virgin Road and SEVEN DAYS WAR D:
Lol I can barely hear her voice in the chakuuta previews they're really LQ.
But all I can say is VR > SDW atm and I kinda agree with who said she does too much ballads in these days.
Ayu your ballads are really good compared to most of jpop ballads, but it's enough ;_; please give us some upbeat songs.

Haha, that's me in a nutshell! I always go "oh this isn't good..." but when the full song comes out, I fall madly in love with it. Which is why I'm just not going to believe what I hear no more! Not listening to chaku-utas sounds like a good idea, maybe I should just do that in the future.

Hmmm, I actually don't mind Virgin Road is a ballad. I have always loved Ayu's ballads.
Anyway, maybe is Virgin Road a ballad, Sweet season a medium ballad and last angel a normal pop song, like Kuu's Last Angel.


The previews were okay. Not that I've heard much.

Virgin Road does sound pretty but a bit off. Seriously, my stomach dropped once I realized it was a ballad. -_- It does have that oriental flavor that I like but meh... maybe it'll get a last minute re-arranging like crossroad to be something a little more epic, doubt it but the full will more than likely than my opinion. Looking forward to the full of SDW though.

Virgin Road sounds so amazing to me! even in LQ..i duno, i just get this really epic feeling to it. A pity its not attached to some drama or movie. It totally fits in line with the 'forgiveness' style of song. Ayu's being having some really oriental music huh? (i tot MOON's verses were rather traditional already...then came to crossroad's verses and now Virgin Road's chorus) BUT i dont mind it. I've been lacking a really strong song in terms of melody and arrangement for a long time. I think Ayu might just deliver it to me..

if you are sick of ballads, i guess there's nothing you can do. I believe in her new album, Ayu will have her juices flowing again because thats where she can get REALLY out-of-the-box and still ensure that the album will sell. I mean, we all know how rock songs and maybe some electro wont really cut it amongst the general public. With her last 2 singles to her 50th, it's better to play it safe.

I wonder if the composer is Kikuchi or Tetsuya (her MY STORY composer)

I think if they're good I wouldn't mind the whole single being ballads. Also because even if everyone is desperate for some electro-pop or something, ayu may not be. Like I don't want her to go "oh all my fans are whining about my ballads even if they're good, so I'll without any want, make an upbeat song"
If she doesn't want to. Or is not in the mood. And just doesn't feel like having one or is not inspired too ill be fine if she's doing whatever she thinks sounds good to her
Of course I understand some fans don't like her or any ballads or just get bored easily so I understand being upset

On another note. I'm quite excited for all this. Sooo much going on. I want to hear last angel

Sure, I'd like a pop or rock song to balance out the single but I don't mind if they are all ballads. I'm still satisfied by SLT, LD and Sunrise honestly haha.

I can't comment on the previews because they are really low quality (greteful to have them!) and they never do the song justice. It's gonna be really interesting how she is gonna have action in a ballad pv though.
