Sounds like other works yet still holds its own and sounds fresh to me, if that makes sense.
Not in love with it first spin, feel that I'll appreciate it more with the album as a package.

what a huge disappointment
It sounds like many other TK songs, and they all are not so good. That's not ayu's fault, that's completely fault of composer and arranger who is the one person, as we know. I wish ayu never work with him again until he create something really outstanding.
At least cover is cool.

Nonfiction wins song of the year, imo. But MASK is pretty good, I like it. The chorus is catchy. Cannot wait to be able to understand what the lyrics are all about. Thank you for sharing with us already.

I feel nothing about the song stands out that much on first listen (I really miss power ballads and their climaxes and drama!), but there is something about it I know will make me very fond of it as time goes on. Can't wait for the PV!

At no point did she say she was going to release a video. And if she was going to release a video, she would have shown us a teaser like in the past. So I don't think there will be a video. However, if there was, both Non-Fiction and Summer Again came out in the morning in Japan, not at 00:00.

First listen and It’s not my cup of tea… and I don’t yet what to really think about it. It looks like a song from 90’s with vibes from A ONE area. Bad arrangements… It’s pretty generic. So shame because Nonfiction and Summer again are really good… Maybe the PV will be watchable.

Ayu said on Insta that the song would drop at 24:00, so I assumed the video too, but maybe we have to wait. Or maybe there will be no video, who knows

Yeah, the song is alright! Even tho I love a 90's throwback, the production choices for this song are just weak! I liked some parts of it, and it might grow on me with time, but its far from the bops she has droped this year with NonFiction and Summer Again.

I like the song! I was worried about her vocals but I don't mind them here at all.
I got tired of Summer again and Non fiction so quickly and don't even want to listen to them anymore. While MASK is generic and not very unique, I think this song will have much more replay value.

Ok, it's better than expected. It's fresh and energetic and that outro sounds kinda Christmas-ish with those bells.
Dreamed a Dream may be more of a banger but it also sounds more dated than Mask.

First time of listening, it was not as I expected, but once you listened more it became nice for me!

I am not fan of this kind of bases and music. Looking at her singles this year, the album probably will be on that direction

I was hoping for something more like Wanderin’ Destiny after finding out TK was doing the song. Lots of dynamic highs and lows with an epic arrangement like the cover Kumi did a few years ago. It’s not bad…. It just doesn’t really go anywhere like a lot of TK songs. It does have an interesting structure where we typically would have a bridge is the ending. Would have loved to a final, key arranged chorus to round it out as it was starting to build before be finished.

Still looking forward to the album, but I hope this is TK’s only contribution.
