Planning a Japan trip next year, need some advice for tickets.
Hey all, it's been nearly a decade since I logged in here, I'm cringing looking back on my old posts. Hell, I'm surprised my login still works. 😅
That aside, I recently rediscovered my love for Ayu and joined TA, I also just saw the ABEMA live and it surged so many feelings in me that I feel I absolutely must see Ayu live at least once in my life. So I'm thinking I can make either the Nagano or Osaka show, I'm just wondering what method works best for tickets these days. I really have no preference other than no nosebleeds, but I mean, I'll take em if I have no choice. Does being a TA member let me order from overseas and pick up on site? Or do I need a middle man, or is it better to risk it all and shop around a few days before? I tried looking around the forums but couldn't find a clear answer, greatly appreciate any help. 😊 |

In 2020 I bought tickets from these sites through a middleman service (Now dead)
https://eplus.jp/ https://l-tike.com/ https://pia.jp/ Now I'm looking for a middleman service to buy me tickets for ayu concerts

@Ani_C Being a TA member is more than enough, no need of a middleman service.
Once the lottery starts (TA will send an email), you'll be able to participate through livepocket service, and if you win a place you'll be able to pay in advance, from overseas, using your credit card. Then at the day of the concert, you'll be able to get the ticket from the TA booth (come earlier, before doors open). Plus, global TA members tend to have some good seats, which is a good bonus for us. @visionfactory Out of curiosity, is there any reason you'd prefer to pay a high price for a middleman service instead of joining the fanclub for a small yearly fee (30$ a year, not automatically renewable) and support the artist at the same time? No judging here, I'm genuinely curious why would you take the long & costly road in this specific case, in case I missed a disadvantage for the global TA fanclub (In this case, I may have a middleman service that can help you out)

@Sim This is how my story goes:
1) I joined TeamAyu to be able to buy tickets from there 2) Once inside TeamAyu I lost all lotteries to be able to buy tickets from there 3) After that general public tickets went on sale but they were sold out instantly 4) Someone in the forum told me in some cases they sell tickets outside the venue 5) I went to the venue at February 20 concert and I didn't get any tickets 6) I went to the venue at February 21 concert and I did got a ticket this time! ![]()

Ouch, sounds like a serie of unfortunate bad luck indeed... Thanks for your answer!
I used FDJP (http://www.fdjp.com/) once to attend Namie's LIVE STYLE 2016-2017, back in 2016 (7 years ago!!) Got a fanclub e-ticket, first row in the first level balcony in Toyama. I can personally recommend, great service but a bit more expensive obviously. You can still ask for a (free) quotation and see if they can help. Good luck ! ![]()

I used to buy tickets on Yahoo auctions. I thought that option disappeared when basically everyone switched to digital tickets, but I met a Japanese fan who said he bought a ticket for the latest show on Yahoo, so I guess this method still works somehow. A middlemen would be required though.
As others are saying the fanclub is the best way, but there are speculations the international one will be cancelled soon. The reseller shop I used stop selling almost all concert tickets, I guess, because of the switch to digital. When she had a couple of shows in a row at Yoyogi, she couldn't sell out anymore, so general public tickets were available for a long time, but for a smaller venue in a big city that's unlikely to happen of course. Once I bought a ticket from AHS member, once my Japanese friend won a ticket for me in a fanclub lottery. Other times I got tickets myself from international fanclub lottery. I registered into the international lottery for 7/8 & 7/9/2023
It’s my first time doing so. I hope I get it. Were there times you didn’t get the tickets from the lottery? |
