Currently active users

Taking a look at currently active users...right now there are 156 - but only 6 are members, the other 150 are guests.

But what really shocked me was the most users ever online - 1,024 back in...26th October 2018? That recent?

I didn't know about that. I mean, what happened?

Now that you mention it, I just noticed the record was broken.. I am confused by this this. I log on daily even if it is only for 5 minutes and I don't remember the 2013 record being broken.
I remember one time I was the only member online.

It's really sad that our statistics are skewed by the number of bots now passively crawling the website. Sorry that people were confused by this

Why do bots trawl the site though? Any particular purpose?

It's different sources gathering information passively for search engines and databases.
