You're still talking about Kana here? Nice. Personally I love her very much, mostly because of her amazing ballads. I really love those, but there are some really good upbeat songs too.

oh lol Imo she has loads of pretty amazing songs, but an equal number of snoozies, though those are mostly the b-sides.

At her peak, media make a big fuss about her being the next Ayumi Hamasaki and the queen of jpop...

^Yeap... But it's hard to become an iconic artist... most of the time u need to at least bring somethign new to the game... And even if I like some of those ladies, none of them really standout as someone doing something different in the jpop scene...

^ Yeah I agree, I mean I don't dislike Kana or anything but I don't find her music very new or different, it's just the same generic pop music we've heard a thousand times already. Sure, she's super popular but generic is what's in at the moment. Look at all the Korean girl bands or AKB50million etc. None of them bring anything new to the Jpop scene. None of them are innovative. If Kana's music grows in the future, I'll give her a try. Her single Esperanza is a step in a new direction. I always look forward to see what someone else can bring to the table.
