Mm... So disappointed. Her sales are getting to the point of average...Not for her, but for singers in general. This was actually a very good single, too, and with great promotion... Oh dear... Well, as long as she reaches 100K, and as long as she gets The Record, I guess it'll all be okay..

digital sales are on the rise as physical sales decrease year by year..
one day when ayu's physical singles sell like poker face and for my dear again (50,000 and 70,000 copies), i'm sure we will be outraged that she can't pass 100,000 copies anymore lol

oricon needs to make a digital single/album chart A.S.A.P that gets figures from chaku-uta, recochoku, itunes, and any other company XDD

Why? Her sales don't just drop, they are quite stellar and she even manages to outsell her singles released up to 3 years ago

That should secure enough for 22 consecutive #1 singles - now who's #1 in daily? Hopefully he or she does not break Ayu's consecutive #1 singles in the weekly rankings...

No.
Remotely we could say fukuyama that might get #1 for the whole 2nd week but he will need to sell like 80,000-90,000 more copies this week while the 2nd week of his single sold around 33,000 (and the present 3rd out of 3rd+4th around 15,000) so yeah, he has no chance even if he will sell more than ayu's single for the whole week.

YES!! I'm so happy for these sales. Ok, but I'm easy to please. I'm just happy if it gets over 100k, which it will.

Fukuyama's single was released on 16th December so he won't be outselling Ayu as his dailies are only a few copies higher atm and even if Ayu drops to like 1k/day she still has almost 90k behind her...

I am still not sure why people think of NINKI as a "sales prediction", because it's everything but that. At times the positions are similar and that's pretty much it.

Yeah sometimes they are right about #1 positions but number-wise NINKI doesn't say much.

S/S NINKI is way higher than You were.../BALLAD but it already appears that Y/B will sell more.

I think that downloading will become less and less, so the sales will go up... This is because I heard that in Japan, they are making it illegal to post any links to songs on the internet unless you are sharing with friends. Already 3 people have been arrested on account of this....

Can anyone confirm this? Like, did anyone else hear the same thing?

I thought the single would do better since I overall enjoyed it a lot and thought others would do as well~

...i just find it funny that Masaharu Fukuyama's #1 at the moment, esp when avex moved Ayu's single to this week, lol ("Hatsukoi" is a stellar song though. i'm obsessed with it! @_@). but i'm satisfied with sales so far for "You were.../BALLAD". keep it up Ayu!

Yes, Japan recently has become much more serious about illegal uploads. However, I don't know if it will really make a difference since they can't control what gets put on foreign sites like jpopsuki etc.
