Taiyou no Megami is the song that got me into her so it will always be my favourite song.

She's doing a mini Zepp tour in February. I entered a lottery for a chance to buy a ticket and won, so I'll be seeing her in Nagoya

Heads-up: Leo Ieiri's YouTube videos may have been blocked because Leo's part of Victor Entertainment...and these videos may have been blocked because of YouTube Red - and the possible disagreement of terms, despite its foreign location relative to the USA.

Not in the Kouhaku this year! Maybe it's going to take a while for her to rise enough to a level where she's going to be invited to the Kouhaku (someday), although I had a thought that she may or may not be invited to the Kouhaku (could go any way, turns out she isn't)...

Question time! I bought the CD-only version of 20 for Christmas, and it finally arrived this week. Included on the CD is the bonus track, Silly (Another Version), which I hadn't seen uploaded anywhere before. So if it really isn't too widely available already, does anyone want me to rip and upload it?
Also, news update: new single Hello To The World coming out on February 17th, in three versions! Covers: Spoiler:
Tracklist: CD 1. Hello To The World 2. (TV Version) (Regular Edition Only) 5. Hello To The World (Instrumental) 6. (Piano Version / Instrumental) Cover Disc 1. Just Missed The Train (original: Trine Rein) 2. Time After Time (original: Cyndi Lauper) DVD "Hello To The World" Music Video+Making |

Thanks for the upload. It's beautiful. I love this song. The Acoustic just makes it that much better.

I went to Ieiri's concert in Nagoya last night, damn I love this girl! Vocals absolutely spot on, and it's nice to see she looked like she was having fun too.
She covered Cyndi Lauper's "Time after Time" (she also sang her own song with the same name too) and a more surprising one, Kelly Clarkson's "Just Missed the Train". I'd never heard this one before so listened when I got back, and I actually prefer Ieiri's version. She sang a stripped back version of Silly too which was awesome! My favourite though was "Still" <3

^ You're so lucky to see her in person!
Anyways, did you realize "two colours" (subtitle of Leo Ieiri's current live tour) is using British spelling, since I understand you flew all the way from England? |

^ Aha, I didn't actually realise, as it's "Live at Zepp 2016" written on the t-shirts. Also, I'm here for a year so I'm lucky in that I'm seeing most of the artists I've wanted to for years!
She also announced she's doing a hall tour this Autumn, but I won't be in Japan for that one. I wonder if she'll have a new album for the tour?

So, I know I'm bumping this thread, but I'm getting a little desperate here since I've searched the whole internet and can't find anything but not-as-well-sounding covers but does anyone have "Silly" instrumental? I know it was released on a single but I can't find an actual instrumental anywhere. It'd be a huge help!

Leo released a new single, Bokutachi no Mirai, last week! I really like the title track, it's the most synthpop song she's done and it's really catchy and fresh! A great song for the summer. The b-side, Watashi no Uta, is... reggae? It's a bit odd, but fine enough. And I'm ashamed to admit this, but I can't remember how the second b-side, a live version of Silly, sounds... I think it was a nice ballad-y version with a less hard-hitting chorus? I need to go back to it, but I just want to stick to the title track, lol.

Leo has an album coming out in less than two weeks, why am I only finding out now?!

Hello To The World 9. Every Single Day 13. (Obake no Namida) DVD: 1. Live at Zepp DiverCity 2016.2.2 ~two colours~ - サブリナ (Acoustic) (Sabrina) - miss you - Still - Lady Mary - Last Stage - Silly - Kimi ga Kureta Natsu - 希望の地球 (Kibou no Chikyuu) - Hello To The World - Sabrina "Bokutachi no Mirai" Music Video -Another version- 3. "Hello To The World" Music Video -Another version- I'm actually surprised they didn't add the piano version of Kimi ga Kureta Natsu as a bonus track, I thought it was a big hit for her. More surprised that Obake no Namida is the last song though, it's such a non-entity to me... I hope the new tracks are as good as Bokutachi no Mirai, I'm still really enjoying that song. |
