4 Too bad BRILLANTE is lost in this album, is a great great song.
5. Ayumi's voice sounds really good, I'm starting to love her voice again.

1. The album is just filler bookended by 2 awesome songs
2. The collabs need to stop.
3. Ayu NEEDS to channel the creativity of BRILLIANTE into all of her future music.
4. If someone decides to release a mini-album, all songs on that album MUST be strong, no filler, no BS. The filler should have been left for a future album where it would make more sense.
5. There's no freaking theme here, the songs are all so random and don't flow nicely.

2. Good variety of Ballad Genre
3.Wished that there was at least 2 upbeat song
4. Another song feels like Urata Naoya ft. Hamasaki Ayumi and not Hamasaki Ayumi ft. Urata Naoya
5. Ayu's vocal for this album is a lot better then Love songs.

2. The cover art, booklet and mag promotions are all gorgeous. beloved and BRILLANTE Pvs are impressive!!
3. Yeah the Collabs grew on me, but I think ayu is best as a solo artist. Beloved, progress and BRILLANTE are all strong songs.
4. BRILLANTE is now in my top 5. Totally overshadows progress...
5. This mini album is ok. It's nothing bad. Just wish there was a unified theme, because right now this feels like a single or something like a maxi single. Doesn't feel "complete."

Here's my evaluation:


1. Musicality: I love it.

progress is a good track to start a new mini-album.
Then, the two collaborations by JUNO and Naoya are great even they were not appreciated by some :\

Beloved is such a touching ballad, I love how it was done.
BRILLANTE creeps me out at this very moment. I think its because of the chants.


2. Thank God for Leslie Kee photoshoots. Amazing as usual
I wish this is a start of decent photoshoots for her


3. PVs are hit and miss.
Progress is still my current big disappointment, same as BRILLANTE.
Another song is nice, so as Why...
Beloved is the gem of all of the 5 PVs


4. Ayu's vocals are great. Beloved and progress are my top choices for this.


5. There's no concrete theme for this new mini-album unlike her previous works :\

1. Liked the songs, everysong in the album really adds something to it IMO

5. Is is just me, or does all the lyrics read in order tell a history? Like, progress being the begining and BRILLANT being the end? Cuz even if she tends to use the same symbols over and over again, I was impressed about how the lyrics flowed to the next one smoothly this time, and how she used the exact same images on all songs... she sings a lot about two people being together, remembering the past, seeing a bright future and walking on a road, but never for 5 consecultive tracks...

This album... is not good.



I mean, some of the songs themselves aren't bad but they DO NOT fit Ayu's voice. Especially thrown next to some high pitched male singer(s). Why... might be better without his voice altogether. Ayu could have pulled that song off alone. progress gets really good after the bridge. It has one of the best guitar solos in any of her songs, and the part when her voice kicks back in during the bridge "Nee, bokura wa kore made datte kore kara datte
Ooku no koto o nozon dari wa shi nai yo" is so epicly epic. So much emotion in that part of the song with the guitars like that. BRILLANTE ... well, I am unsure. Not anything I would want to listen to but it has a nice feel.

Overall, I do not like this album. Love songs fit her voice better and I prefer her voice on there honestly. Her voice sounds old in these recordings to me. I wasn't expecting much from this album so it's not a huge letdown. But I would say it's my least favorite album from her and really consider it the album that tests her fanbase.

4. I can tell ayu's vocals had improved in this album, especially in Why.
5. overall though, not a very memorable album.

2. progress is really great lead song for the album.
3. BRILLANTE is the most epic song and PV on the album by far!
4. The collaborations turned out much better than I expected, but I hope it doesn't become a standard.
5. Hooray for Leslie Kee working with Ayu again, they always make magic.

Yeah and the progress and BRILLANTE are good but I don't think they are good enough to be the standout tracks on the album. Normally I would take them as standout filler. Idk how to express it but they are good but an album deserves better.

5 things I like
- PV'S - although 3 of songs are not a masterpiece, and some are below average, besides "ANother song" boring PV - all of them are creative and very diffrent from each other. (They are not like "typical symbolic" Ayu sitting somewhere)
- BRILLANTE - it really surprised me, really. Great Job Tim, I hope there will be more.
- PROMOTION - lots of magazines, yay! And advert for RIMMEL and soon for Honda
- COVER - It's simple (i'd prefer more details) but it's still Leslie. Piece of effin good covers.
- BOOKLET! - one of her best booklets, I want to see the rest of pictures!

5 things I dislike
- 3 FILLERS - "typical ballad" "emotional ballad" and "rnb ballad". Oh c'mon. It will grew on me, I know - but I hate when she does this. I had enough slow and medium "typical sweet sound" tracks. If they are slow, I want some more like BRILLANTE, sad and nostalgic. I don't like amount of "that" songs she is making.
- NAOYA - I am scared of future of their work. She likes singing with him too much. He is not THAT bad, but it's a million level beyond Ayu. JUNO fits her voice better in fact.
- HIDDEN TRACK - srsly? a remix? with Naoya again? It's not bad afterall (i like the arragment) but WHY with him again. WHY the same song. Why not something new? Something DIFFRENT than a medium/ballady/love track? BRILLANTE show us, that Ayu can do something reaaaallly epic.
- DISORDER - 3 ballads and 2 "epic" sounds for mini... It screams "SINGLE!" Mini should have more variety. Sum rock angry song, some crazy pop or even a dance/electronish track like Last angel... Something other than "slow" "medium" and "ballad"!

Having an opinion is one thing, and that is fine. But when you are constantly complaining about things that Ayu does, maybe its time you move on to other artists that are more suited for your expectations.

Ok!

1. I didn't like Ayu's voice in many of the songs. I see lots of "she sounds amazing now!" and I'm thinking huh? I thought her vocals had been improving since You were.../BALLAD but I don't like this new voice she has. She sounds so strained and the vibrato seems dominant again. I would have ADORED Why... and ANother song much more if she sounded better

2. While her vocals leave much to be desired for me, I really really enjoyed most of the songs, even the collabs. I think beloved is the only one that hasn't really grown on me yet. BRILLANTE, progress & ANother song are my faves

3. The PVs were lol I loved Why... PV but thats it. beloved and progress were really boring though beloved was pretty. BRILLANTE was just wtf. I enjoyed ANother song

4. This release is nowhere as bad as some people made it out to be even if it's nothing spectacular

5. Ayu rules ballads. Like srsly. She can do any type and they are musically great. but PLEASE work on your vocals girl
