Okinawa will be holding another Namie-themed fireworks show this year on September 16th, in what would've been her 27th anniversary.

It's hard to guess. It really all depends on the deal Apple struck with her.

Given Namie's immense popularity and how many people in Japan have iPhones, I'm guessing they paid her enough to get at least 1 whole year of exclusivity.

A minimum of 6 months is probably for sure.

it's such a shame but I first listened to her SWEET 19 BLUES album just a few days ago! omg like I know Namie since 2002 and I've grown up listening to her albums like STYLE or Queen of Hip-Hop but I never checked anything from 90s (except CAN YOU CELEBRATE) and now I'm just speechless of how timeless is SWEET 19 BLUES album is! I especially adore the starter tracks like PRIVATE. omg it's gorgeous! and if someone said to me that this a new album I would believe it!! it sounds sooo cool

^ Glad you finally came around to it! SWEET 19 BLUES and Concentration 20 are not only my favorite Namie albums, but some of my all-time favorite albums in general. They're her most re-playable albums, in my opinion.
