Plane Flight AYU!

This morning I literally got back from CA on Delta Airlines- I was VERY pleased to see they had a "radio station" (eh, songs in a play set) for Japanese Pop!

Reading down their list I saw...

Setsuna by GReeeen to
Wild by Namie Amuro (Neat!!!) to
Come Back to Me by Utada (This is JPop? ) to
Bolero by Toshohinki to
NEXT LEVEL by Ayumi Hamasaki!... to 5 other songs I don't remember.

Of all her songs, they chose Next Level, not even a single. :O Interesting choice!

Other than that though, something was wrong with my headset or their "radio station" because it was very staticky. Though the other channels seemed to work better...

They also showed Dragon Ball: Evolution on the plane hahah. XD... though I fell asleep and didn't see any of it.

Other note, Virgin Airlines American also has a Japanese Pop radio station - though I really don't think theirs is a set playlist. I tried to listen to songs I knew from there, but nothing came up after ~15 minutes or so. XD

Last time I flew with Virgin to Orland (Must have been 4 years ago, maybe 5) they had Ayu's entire 'MY STORY' album to listen to, plus various Chinese artists, I think it was Kelly Chen, but don't quote me on that one -.-

They did however spell Ayu's name wrong.
'AMUMI HAMASAKI'
-.-
ayesh.

Wah~ It's so great.

At my country, there's only the Chinese radio station that play the Japanese songs. I'd heard from the local radio station too, but it's really rare to hear any Jpop songs.

I went with JapanAirlines, and they only had Ayu's Boys & Girls, Kumi's Koi no Tsubomi.

Yeah, I remember reading online a couple of months that they have their own J-Pop station now.

Last year, when I flew with Delta, they had Ayu in their "international station", and they had her entire A BEST album, which I thought was pretty cool =D

This one was a strictly JPop channel.

Now that I think about it, the other songs were...

Sakura by someone with a Y in the name
MySUNSHINE or something like that and
a song by SPONTANIA ft. someone (JUJU???)

and 2 others... bleh. XD

Yeah I think they have it on all flights. At least all the flights where you have Personal TV Screens and what is called AVOD (Audio/Video On Demand) Which means you can select channels yourself.

I flew Dragonair and Cathay Pacific for my trip to China a few years back. They both had J-pop channels, but unfortunately, no Ayu.

I discovered Ayu on a Virgin plane flight to Japan! Her MY STORY album was on there (it was spring 2005) and I listened to HONEY and, yes seriously, really liked it! >.< Then I heard some other songs when I got home and liked them even more. I think they spelt her name Ayumi Hayasaki though because that is what I searched when I got home...

Very neat, I haven't gotten to experience that yet. I just went on an airplane once in my life, and that's when I was 7 .
