I agree with you. Her hip-pop is awesome

I said no. >< Please don't eat me. I like some of her music (I'm not really a fan, but I still like her music) and I give her a lot of credit for being a good performer and dancer and for working really hard, but I dunno. There's certainly lyrics that sort of make me wonder about who she is. And she has a tattoo, right? I don't like tattoos and it really grosses me out. I know it's stupid things and, if I could, I would vote "Sort of. I respect her for something, but I don't like some of the things she does." But I couldn't.

i love her music, it's pretty cool. and she used to be a princess of pop before ayu. she must had working really hard to achieve that, and even now after 13 years she's still considered strong in jpop music industry. i really respect her.

I love her as a popstar but don't really respect her as a "artist". She's done nothing to warrant it...

Regardless of Music, Success, Talent, and etc. I voted "Yes", simply because she's a human being.......appears to be a hardworker and hasn't really done anything I deem unworthy of respect. Everyone deserves respect until they do something undeserving of it.

Yes she is a Icon!

I believe that Namie has already been well established in the music industry..now it just boils down to whether she's able to continue producing great music and innovative ideas..

I respect Namie Amuro for staying in the industry so long and retaining popularity after more than a decade. I'll definitely listen to each of her releases as they come out, and while I may not like some of them, I appreciate that she's gone in new directions from her old dance-pop ways. She is an icon to some, but to me, she's just another artist I'm interested in.

Namie Amuro is an icon for me as well. She deserves to be respected because she already marked her name in the walls of the J-Pop industry. As she said "Show the world the best of me... Someday put my name in Lights..." awww... i thought it's wall! LOL... but just the same... i LoVe naMie.....

Yes, she's an icon, for sure. you can't deny that, whether you like her or not.

I respect Namie so much. more than any other artist.

and not only because i love her music and voice and everything.
the main reason why i respect her so much is:

she's still standing after everything she's been going through.
she hit rock bottom in her private life, and her carreer was going downhill early 2000.
i don't know how she survived everything that happened to her..

and now once again, she's back on top. right where she belongs
i couldn't be any more proud of her and i'm proud to be her fan.

so yeah i respect her alot. both as a person and artist.

The woman is an icon, definitely.

She was huge in the 90's.

And her comeback has been..epic.

She's been through so much..I dunno how she managed. It shows that she's strong.

She's my 3rd favorite singer for a reason.

I seriously pride myself in being a Namie fan.

Namie can do no wrong.
