That was also an option for registering for Koda Kumi's app...but then the app itself isn't available for download on devices outside of Japan.

Edit: Also confirmed the App is made by the same company that made Koda Kumi's, so I expect it's going to be virtually the same thing, with similar restrictions.

you don´t need the 1-year plan to apply for tickets. I don´t think 1000yen scare away the ppl xD

But if you still have to be a TA member by the time of the concert and that said concert is a few months away. That might scare away people. Paying so you can get into the concert hall...

I think I never was asked to show my TA membership when picking up tickets. Only the livepocket code and my passport.

I can confirm that this should work for most people. I tested out signing up for 1000yen just to see if it works for overseas and my payment was accepted.

I also was able to download the Koda Kumi app just to see if I could (I did this before making any payment of course). As far as I could tell, the Koda Kumi app is not available in North American App Store, but I was able to get it from the Japan App Store with my old Japanese account. I do not have any active credit card on that account.

I don't plan on getting the expensive membership. I may decide to do the 1000yen when there's a new release if I want to buy a TA version from Mumo, but I don't really plan on keeping yearly TA membership just for that.

If you are using an iPhone, you can register within the "TeamAyu" app, but the fee will be different in that case. 1 month plan/1,300 yen (tax included), 6 months plan/7,480 yen (tax included), 1 year plan/14,300 yen (tax included).
Android devices can only be registered from the website.

I can't download the new app, it's not available in my area, can you download with VPN and still join TA? Can I join TA without downloading the app? The main purpose of joining TA for me is to get concert tickets. I'll be so disappointed if I can't join as global TA anymore

Yes, it work just fine

I just downloaded the app from the Japanese App Store (I already had a Japanese account but I don’t remember why) and it opened just fine. I could connect to the app and personalize my account

I had hard time trying to figure out how to put my nick into 6 symbols. Don't know why I'm actually tried it %) For me this app is absolutely useless, since I can't pay for membership anymore

Looks like global FC is dead. App is only in Japanese. If you have Apple App Store account set to Japan you can download it - the app is working but there's nothing interesting in it - barely any content, and they charge for it a lot... Let's see how it looks in a few days.

Thanks for the link Aderianu, I was able to install it on my Android from France.

On the fanclub site they put:

Q : Can I install the app outside of Japan?
A : Due to differences in regulations for each country/region on the App Store and Google Play, you may not be able to install the app depending on your country/region.
