I just wonder why she hasn't done something like the "floating" pool in her 2013 "Heaven"/Jewel/Sakura performance again.

That was impressive and she didn't have to hang by a wire.

I'd love to see her do that again.

Rainie Yang is also known for her super elaborate concerts and some aerial work.

I don't see anything wrong with the aerial stunts. It isn't like she does it too much to where it gets old.
There is usually only a small handful of moments when she does it.
She has put a lot of effort into learning to do this aerial work, at least show some appreciation for that.

She took a risk to perform and didn't scream when a wire was broken during the performance. (Maybe she was scared and p** in the water but we didn't know.)

probably in the a best live tour thread, i believe it was one of the osaka dates a wire snapped and she slid and scared her fans.

Sorry, as cool as it was to see Ayu doing the aerial thing the first time, she will NEVER be as good as Pink. I saw Pink live and it was a damn great show. Ayu is at best mediocre at it and I'd rather never see her doing it again, than those more or less bad half assed performances she did after Angel.

^ oh, don't be a sourpuss. She is not mediocore. Of course not as totally bombe as Pink's show (good luck finding one who could actually do better than that) but she has some sort of elegance that is appealing to it, when she does so. It is never totally amazing, but it always fitted somehow in the song's moodboard.

Hmm... To the aerial conversation I have to agree that P!NK is probably on a higher level than Ayu but FOR ME she doesn't look that great as Ayu while doing it. I mean I just prefer the stunts Ayu does because they look more elegant while P!NK's look so aggressive imo. I am impressed by both of them anyway!

We're all entitled to our opinion but I'd love to see anyone go up there and do the stuff Ayu does

The height alone would be enough to make me not do it, and to be able to do all that choreographed stuff up in the air and sing (even if Ayu doesn't sound AMAZING all the time), is pretty damn impressive even if it's not to the level of Pink, lol. Pink has also been doing it for way longer, Ayu may be doing it at every concert now but it's only been a few years since she started

@Evan Odinson, I agree as well

I think the only song from hers I like is Sober, which I actually liked a LOT when it came out. I just never cared for Pink that much, but she definitely is awesome at them aerial stuff, damn!

Back to Ayu tho, I'm excited to see what she brings this time! I feel like she'll start doing more and more elaborate stuff during her aerial performances, 'cause like I said she's still pretty damn new at it. And that's not something you can just pick up and then start doing it like a pro, lol She's jut at a disadvantage to be mastering it in front of everyone with each concert. I still enjoy the aerial stuff she does, but sometimes I get such anxiety I can't enjoy it that much

I tried watching one of her concerts once because she is really talented as a performer, but i couldn't pass through her music

But I don't want her to do all the choreographed stuff in the air if it doesn't look as artistic as when her dancers do it and more like "look I have a new hobby". And I'd rather have her singing live than lipsincing just for a few moves in the air that aren't that good in the end.

she kinda is, I have no problem with ayu doing it. But all those unnecessary dancers doing it all the time, is too much.
