oh Real Face #1 is found as the very last track in the regular pressing of their debut album BEST of KAT-TUN , Lisa
Both versions have the same writer & composer ie. Suga Shikao & B'z's Tak Matsumoto , the only difference between both are the melody Real Face #1 is somewhat a bit more mellower but it's still good !

haha nooo both versions have Akanishi's vocals xD
I just feel in Real Face #1 , Akanishi's vocals were much clearer/stronger which's such a big difference then & now .__.

Okay actually my favourite version is the Break the Records tour version when Yuu-chi sings Jin's part  And then tries to rap and fails rather badly

Nakamaru Yuichi's Thoughts On KAT-TUN's 5th Anniversary
March 22, is KAT-TUN's 5th Anniversary. Oldest member Nakamaru Yuichi wrote about it in his latest J-web entry. It has already been five years since popular boy group KAT-TUN made their debut with the hit single "Real Face". It topped the Oricon charts for three weeks straight and also holds the record for the highest weekly single debut sales with 754,234 sold copies in its first week. Oldest member Nakamaru Yuichi thanked in his latest manual everyone for the love and support he and KAT-TUN have recieved over this years. "When I look back on those 5 years, especially the live tours where we can directly meet everyone, they became best memories." i think i prefer "Real Face #1" too. it feels more ~natural~ to me. but i understand why they chose "Real Face" to be the actual single version. it sounds more single-ly.
speaking of all this "Real Face" business, apparently Kame & Suga Shikao did their own version on the most recent Shounen Club Premium. it was really nice! AND SUGA-SAN SANG SOME LINES TOO. I WANT HIM TO SING HIS OWN VERSION AND RELEASE IT PHYSICALLY. i'm still hoping. also! i want his own version of his Arashi song, "Aozora Pedal"  you know i liked the version of "Bokura no Machi de" they did during the NMP tour!

OMG so Suga Shikao & KAT-TUN sang Real Face together again on SC ?
I really want Suga to record his own take of Real Face since he's the 1 that wrote the lyrics for the song & let alone like what you said , his own take of Aozora Pedal too ;__; if Himuro Kyosuke was able to do that for Keep the faith (while changing some of the lyrics & melody) , I don't see why Suga can't do that x) Quote:

i would love to see that! i also wish he would release his own versions of those songs. or he could make new a song for KAT-TUN again! he takes kinda long to release new material of his own, so it wouldn't be so bad! so KAT-TUN were supposed to have a new album in the spring! i hope we'll get an official announcement next month. it doesn't really feel like a year since NMP, though. RIGHT NOW never gets old.

i downloaded the episode @ jone_records. but idk how to properly cut and upload to a streaming site. it would probably be taken down on YT anyway.
ikr! he released his own version of "Yozora no Mukou"! so do the same with "Real Face" & "Aozora Pedal" please!! i'm waiting for an album announcement too! but i think it will probably be somewhat delayed with the earthquake. i know when they usually announce albums, they go on tour as well. i don't think many artists in general are touring nowadays.

actually Lisa , KAT-TUN usually tours every year during Summer . So that explained why they don't have any summer inspired singles in their discography ;__;
They did said that they will release a new album before their new tour starts this year but yes it will be expected that it might be delayed due to March 11th's earthquake but we'll see , already I'm getting updates on stuff that will be released in June now D:
