Why was Melrose banned?

Hi, I've noticed that Melrose was banned from the forum. Does anyone know why? Though he blurts out the most tactless comments sometimes, he actually has some interesting thoughts and views, especially in the News section.

oh i didn't even notice, but i thought he would get banned one day, his posts are irritating at times, but is it a perma-ban or a temp-ban?

bans are between the staff and the member. The only way you're gonna find out why he's banned is if you go and ask him...unless it was a very public thing.

But if I recall they gave an explanation for that DerrickRocks guy. That was way before I started posting on AHS but I remember finding an old thread about it.

Nevertheless, I don't think a public explanation is necessary in this case since its pretty obvious anyway.... All he ever did was try to piss people off and say some stupid or offensive comments.

I didn't think Mel has ever done anything to get banned

I believe there are others who annoy many of us as hell and still didn't get banned, so even though I don't know the reasons he got banned I think that he didn't deserve it at least not more than another few did. But yeah I guess no one needs to explain anything

That's because what he did sort of involved a lot of members and played on their emotions.

When we all found out what he did, you can only imagine how pissed off some of us were.

It was very public what he did, and in a case like that, I think...it was obvious to all the members and the staff said it because a lot of people were quite upset.

This situation is NO WHERE near to that one. I don't think the mods would give out a statement here, it's not needed.

@njanjayrp: I know. It's quite annoying actually. Especially when fights in threads stem around the same people and even follow them around...like...from the kuu thread to the utada thread. Just for an example.

^ You don't know how I laughed while reading some trashed threads... but oh well. I guess Melrose either committed a Medium offence thrice, or he committed a major offence. Whatever happened, I don't think anyone of us would know then...

Who knows, forum admins all have their own system. Maybe those people will eventually run out of strikes too. But the fights do not seem that bad to be something that would be flagged. People here are polite even when fighting, you should see the language people use in other forums like IMDB

. Artist fights are also expected since not everyone that joins this forum will have Ayu as their favorite artist.

If you're reallyyyy interested, there were two times where I read & said "hes gonna be gone soon". There was a thread about the GREEN PV and he said gays are weird or something like that. I forgot exactly because the admins trashed the post really fast. Then there was a thread about the Rule PV where he said something about Asians not knowing how to drive.
