Aw poor Ayu! I understand how hard it can be when you're working really hard like that and you're stressed...I was so surprised by this entry though. I've never seen this side of Ayu, but I'm glad to hear she's only human just like the rest of us here . Poor thing though...hang in there Ayu! It'll be all over and done with before you know it!

Even if her voice isn't the same as it used to be, it's no where near bad, and music isn't JUST about a voice... it's about lyrics, and composing. And she STILL exceeds expectations in that department. She needs to give herself a little more credit than that. She works her ass off for her fans, for all of us, and she's so increasingly talented. It breaks my heart that she stresses so much about it.

I'm going to pre-order this album as soon as it comes available. And tweet her everyday telling her I appreciate her.

Reading this really made me well up with tears. ><

That's true, but it's also true that a voice is a singer's most important asset. Lose it, and she may have to leave the stage. Afterall, lyric writing and composing are off-stage production work. It's the singer who gives the music a face.

Trust me, I'm a singer and the knowledge of your limits and how to care for your voice become ingrained in you pretty quickly, almost instinctively. After many years more than me spent singing, I'm sure Ayu will do all she needs to so that her voice will persevere just like she does.

I don't think her voice has gotten any worse in the last few years, I think it's just maturing. Notice in RAINBOW how her voice has much more of the typical Japanese girl nasal-tone in it, and even since then she's purged it almost completely and it's become her own. It's an evolution (yay song puns) of her voice. :]

Yep I get you. I'm not saying her voice is going down (in fact, I'm one of the few who prefer her now to the past ayu.) Just saying what could happen if she really loses her voice, which I hope won't ever happen.
