Even with that encreased price here in Brazil (R$ 115,00). I bought some stuff. But that's tooo much!! Even the american or japanese prices are too much!!

Veja, a brazilian magazine, showed, in a little part of an article (i'm going to scan this as soon as i can) , how much Avex\Ayu\MTRLG makes Japan's teenagers spend all their money with Ayu stuff.

Avex only wants to make more money, and they know that there are some fans that still buy original CDs because its Ayu, no matter if its a 12/10/4/1 track single. I hope that what's happening show them the CDs don't need to cost so much. (I don't mean i want that people don't buy orign CDs!! But Avex relly needs to make lower prices!)

Hmmm... I will always have a warm fuzzy feeling toward mp3s, those little babies are the things that introduced me to ayu in the first place! Now I have 4 of her cds, so avex definately isn't loosing money from me!
I think that this is very unfair of avex to be complaining and making it so that i can't even listen to an ayu cd on my own computer! ( I have a mac)
I mean, gosh! Aren't they making enough money from ayu-pans, posters, cell phones, and all that other ayu merchandise? I bet avex isn't selling as many cds because people are spending all their money on other stuff....

Hrm...

I think that record labels blaming CD piracy for their bad sales is pretty bad... the current state of the economy is pretty shite, which is whats affecting it.. and as someone mentioned... 1 million copies of H... if they don't spend so much on rabid advertising then maybe they could cover their costs...

thats my 2 cents =)

Question

Could it also be that the record companies release a whole lot of shite no-one wants to buy?

Like DJ Ötzi's album was HEAVILY advertised on tv here, still it flopped...same goes for that croaking floozy Norah Jones

Heh, and that also means lots of money wasted on advertising!!!

All of those reasons could attribute to the falling sales: the economy, releasing products that no one wants to buy, heavy advertizing, less remixes, the CCCD. . . even if Avex gets rid of the CCCD it might make the sales better.

Exclamation

well, it is funny, because downloading stuff from the internet makes buy a whole lot of records I'd never buy if I hadn't downloaded them and listened to them first. I can't be the only one that feels and acts that way!!!
